I probably should've gotten the sashimi. All the locals come here for the sashimi, but I didn't know until after talking with my surf instructor. I made the tourist mistake of getting the filet. This is your sign to SPLURGE on that sashimi or the full fish of the day special. The filet with el diablo sauce was aite, but it just didn't hit. The server also didn't mention filet as one of their top sellers, so I should've listened. Regardless, service was friendly and the vibes were so loud because there was a party across the street for someone's birthday I think. But great spot for solo travellers for dinner. There was SO much food and portions are very generous.

Amazing seafood cooked authentically in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Freshest seafood I've eaten, owner brought the fish out to me prior to cooking to show me. Great value, best we've eaten so far in the area, so much better than all the faux expensive European style restaurants in the area. Closes at 7 so come early, can pay by card no problem. 5 stars, would give more if possible. www.cushryder.com

Personally the tastiest place I found in puerto Escondido. We ordered red snapper, a mixed seafood cocktail, and coconut shrimps. All were fantastic. Only problem is my gf ordered a pina colada with alcohol, but they didn’t put any (she’s Asian and gets a red flush if there is alcohol). They said it’s their special way of mixing the alcohol. Not the end of the world but that did happen. Food was great.

This has some of the best seafood in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.

Everything is Fresh daily. In Puerto e.. all seafood is good. But... here it's hours after bring caught....

Priced great. Local favorite.

You wouldn't know to go there unless you knew a local or were searching for a review like this...

The coco shrimp 🍤 is fantastic (there is a lot of coco shrimp in town... this is the best) - catch of the day is caught that day (of course)...

Go hungry and eat as much as you can. Try everything. You'll be thankful you did.

If you're not Mexican - mild piccante is still super...

We enjoyed our food, but we believe they take advantage of non-locals. They brought out uncooked fish on a plate and gave us a price for it. We agreed to the price. When our cooked whole red snapper arrived it was very much smaller (even cooking can't shrink a whole fish that much) than the uncooked fish they priced for us. They also neglected to add the mojo de ajo sauce to my fish. Unfortunate, as the beers were cold and reasonably priced, the service was excellent, and the fish was...
