If you‘re hesitating to go to a japanese/asian restaurant in a remote tiny village in the mexican mountains, you’re like me. I wasn’t particulary keen on going. I love asian food but I just didn’t expect the food to be very good. Trust me - it is. I was surprised by the quality and I‘m sad we’re already leaving today and I can’t go again. It’s probably the best restaurant in San José del Pacifico with a spectacular sunset view from its terrace. We had the pad thai with shrimps, the beef dumplings, the veggie fried rice and the beef with broccoli. The beef dumplings were gone too fast to take a picture. Everything else: see for yourself. Even by european or american standards you won’t be disappointed. The drinks were quite nice too!

Well well well. We were hesitant and certainly not expecting the best asian food of our lives in this teeny wonderful Mexican village. But cast all doubts aside, this food is outrageously good. Absolutely no excuses for not visiting. Tuna taquito was the show stopper but bloody hell was the kung pao fantastic 10/10 and I am not normally a kung pao girl, I would eat this everyday for the rest of my life. Takoyaki was super good, tempura ice cream delicious. Simply no misses. May have to move to San Jose not for the gorgeous sunsets and forests but for this Asian fusion haven. 😮‍💨😋🥰😋🥰

The food here was absolutely amazing, Some of the best food I’ve had for a while, but I honestly cannot believe how long it took for the food to come out!! Was over an hour and a half before we were served our first dish which is exsessive considering what it is, plus we had a reservation and the restaurant wasn’t busy either. Luckily the food was so good that it made up for the long wait, highly recommended the Lo Mein and ramen. They also give you colouring in to do to keep you busy whilst you wait ages for the food😂😂

I want to start off with positivity. My family and I enjoyed the clear sign and reminder when we walked up the stairs, to be kind and patient. This made us aware that were some previous issues they're working on but also want us as customers to be considerate too. The waitress attended to us in enough time because by the time she arrived we knew what we wanted to eat and drink. We appreciated her question in regards to food allergies and once we got our drinks if we would like any sweeteners. We ordered the takoyakis, they were good. I've had them in Japan. I also had the mango pad Thai, after stirring the flavor came together. However, my husband ordered the miso ramen. His report was that it was bland. I felt so bad. He enjoyed my plate but he tried their sauce and it was like putting hot sauce in a broth. We've had the authentic version so when I tried it, I too was disappointed. If anything from this review, consider tasting the broth etc before serving. Adding peppers or something. No food with a bunch of ingredients mixed together should be bland. The WiFi was not operating but that was ok. Overall the staff and place were lovely. We can't wait to see how much you grow...

Got brought the wrong dish, waited 20 minutes for the correct dish and then charged for both dishes.

When I asked about this there was lots of animosity.

In the end I had to just get the correct money out for what we had actually ordered and leave.

Really bad experience. They came up and started badgering the person who got their food 20 minutes later than all of us for the extra money whilst they were still eating.

Horrible staff.

We came in on what I reckon was the guys lunch break and we asked if it was okay to east and they asked us to wait 20 Mins before they could serve us. We said that was okay and we'd be happy to wait.

Even after that the service was really lack luster, no cares given but we were looking forward to the food from the good reviews.

Honestly don't bother.

From working in hospo... If you make a mistake in the kitchen ... You no not charge the custom for it. And definitely don't argue and harass them about it if there is a...

THE MANAGER IS HORRIBLE.

My whole experience was tainted by one person. The Manager. While the food was delicious, and the staff super friendly and attentive, the young female manager was horrible.

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant, as I live in Oaxaca city and unfortunately it was the same experience as the first time.

In front of diners, she was verbally abusive to the staff, talked down to them, was aggressive and dismissive. I even overheard her threatening staff that she would withhold tips.

While she was never like this with us, the diners, she was bullying the staff right in front of the us. It made me feel uncomfortable and uneasy and wondered how she treats the staff when there aren't any diners.

I see that the owner is responsive on here, so I am hoping that this is addressed promptly as I will be returning for the mushroom festival and I really hope that the staff are still not subjected to such...
