Los Machetes del Playa — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

Excellent food! We ate here several times this week. We brought our own beer but they serve coffee, coke and water as well. The first night we looked at what was being served to others and pointed. The people at the table didn’t seem to mind and we ended up with a meat machete with cheese....yummy. Little English spoken but who cares...the food rocks and my super-sensitive stomach loved it. Use caution with both the green and red sauce....my husband says they are hot. Update, second visit I had a flat oval shaped tortilla with meat and cheese (kinda looked like a pizza)...

Tremendously Delicious!!! Absolutely tasty this machetes with authentic mexican flavor, you will need to be patient cuz take few minutes after order, (My advice is to ask for all that you will eat at the begining), however once the Machete is in your mouth you do not...

We actually were in another franchise place by Los Machetes very close to 5th ave, it seems like they open and close as they want, like one day we ate there at five pm, then another day they were closed at 4pm… but the food was great and the staff also!...
