This place was recommend to us by one of the Chefs at the resort we were staying at (Iberostar at Playa Paraiso). We were looking for a restaurant that was popular with the locals and had fresh seafood. This establishment did not disappoint!

First, it was packed when we arrived on a weekday. But we didn't wait too long. They had excellent ceviche and I tried the octopus tacos. It was very good. All fresh and didn't take too long to get served.

For someone who's not a local, the area itself isn't very nice and I can't say we felt super safe, but we were assured it was safe and we had no problems. We did have to drive around a little to get...

We went for lunch and were a little disappointed that they did not have whole fried fish available. Adjusted and got fried filet of fish, which was tasty and octopus in butter. Both were very good.

Our server took a while to warm up (we speak Spanish fluently), and even so, it was OK. We had to ask for silverware and wait after meals were served. She never asked how the food was and just lacked overall service skills.

It seemed like a popular place with locals and filled up by the time we left.

Also....there is a chain across the front which makes it appear closed...

First time here and the last. The food wasn't anything special. The shrimp and octopus coctel was ok. The shrimp is delicious but the octopus was a bit tough and chewy. I'd recommend the steak special or the ceviche instead. The biggest reason for the 2 star rating is the service. We waited about 20min for the drinks to arrive and an additional 20min for the food. Once we were done eating, we had to ask several waitresses for the check. After another 15min it finally arrived.

Total spent: $1700 pesos...

1/100 The worst shrimp ceviche that I have eaten in my whole life, I won't recommend eating there if you like fresh, properly prepared dishes and a good customer service, way better if we just go and buy the ingredients and make the food ourselves. 1/100
