I love love LOVE this place! Ever since discovering Mal Criados Mariscos, it has become my favorite seafood place in Playa—a true hidden gem that is well worth making the effort off the beaten path to visit! The food is AMAZING, the prices are so reasonable, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I highly recommend checking out their Caribeño ceviche, which is unlike any other ceviche I have ever had and is so good it will blow your mind. (Think if a michelada + ceviche had an addictive and delicious baby. 😍) I also love their fish & shrimp tacos, which are always fried fresh to order, are very generous, and are some of the cheapest seafood tacos you'll find in Playa (at just $90 for 3, they are a steal!). This is an excellent place to stop by while you're visiting Playa Del Carmen . Food is superb! Flavor as it should be, presentation so good for a place off the center area and where the locals go to have good seafood. Hands down to this little hidden gem in the suburbian Playa del Carmen área !
