Rolandis Restaurante Playa — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

Until tonight we used to come here at least 3 times a month. I feel I was taken advantage of by manager Victor, today is November 4th 6pm 2025 playa del carmen location, im writing this because I want senior management at Rolandis know they have dishonest people working for them. My wife and I came here tonight for a relaxing dinner, this time I ordered something expensive for dinner, the Rolandis especial lobster calzone, 898 pesos, $45 usd! I expected a calzone packed with lobster meat. Wrong! They brought our food and I soon realized their is No lobster in my calzone, my wife is halfway done with her meal and now they take my dish away so I had to wait until they bring me my correct order. Ok I said mistakes happen but im sure they will make it up and bring me the most amazing dish. Wrong again! The new calzone had tiny bits of something that in no way resembled lobster meat for the price of $898mxn. I asked for the manager and a very young and in my opinion inexperienced guy named Victor comes to our table and apologized for the 2nd mistake. We'll now im convinced someone had lobster in the kitchen at my expense. I will never set foot in another Rolandis. Too bad because I really loved their food until this bad experience...

I ordered two pizzas through Uber Eats and paid nearly 800 pesos — and that’s before tip. The pizzas that arrived were personal-sized, definitely not what you’d expect for the price. I’ve ordered from many places in Playa and never had this kind of disconnect between cost and portion.

To be fair, the taste isn’t bad. But when the size and price don’t match, it just leaves a bad impression. For that kind of money, there are better options in town. I’d recommend Papaya Slice instead — much better value.

This place has been in Playa for a while and there's a good reason, amazing food, flawless service and perfect ambiance. They have changed their location to the highway near City Express and Sam's Club. This is one of the best places to have a delicious meal, pasta is prepared to perfection and the roast beef with rosemary and vegetables was to die for. They offer gluten free pasta, seafood, poultry and beef. Will return soon to...
