Pulling up, it seems this restaurant is out of place, as if it's the place in the Great Gatsby between the Hamptons and the city, because nothing nearby says that this would be a location for a nice restaurant but, somehow it has managed to be this gem of a place with a crude outside/poor looking entrance but a very well to do feeling interior.

It is between where locals that live outside of town live and the highway...unlike the beach vibes you get from places on the beach side of the highway. It provides an attentive service staff. Something that you'd expect downtown and they'll have 2 people ask your order to make sure you are receiving the service you need especially when the place gets busy after 8pm. You come for the live music. The food and wine is quite good! The place has quality talent and musicianship...But why not more stars? For one: I gave 3 because acoustical advantages were not used. I only heard one speaker at the front and that sounded limited for the space to provide. There was a ceiling speaker not being used and I thought it strange. And 2: the entrance door - made me wonder if it was connected to the rest of the place.

Other than this, I highly recommend it. It is highly inviting without being...

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Wine O Clock, a hidden gem away from the center of Playa. The decor needs improvement, just removing two refrigerator with obnoxious bright light will create a better atmosphere. Don’t understand how they spend good money in lighting to ruined the ambiance with those two bright lit refrigerators. But what truly stole the show was the exquisite cuisine.

I opted for the Salmon with risotto which arrived perfectly cooked, flaking apart with ease. The flavors were expertly balanced, with a subtle sweetness that complemented the fish beautifully. The portion was generous, and I appreciated the thoughtful presentation.

The Risotto with Azafrán infused with the unmistakable essence of saffron was really good, although it could have been more creamy. The risotto was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of firmness in the center.

The wine list was impressive, with a variety of options to pair with our dishes. Highly recommended for any occasion.

In short, Wine O Clock is a must-visit for any food enthusiast with its exceptional food that won’t break the bank.

20 minutes into our reservation and still no visit to our table from our waiter. If it were a packed establishment I could be more understanding however, that wasn’t the case. The most alarming part was all other tables were receiving adequate service. We had to ask for someone to take our drink and food request. Again all the locals were being taken care of. Never once were we asked was there anything needed to enjoy our experience. Pretty sad that you have to keep asking for attention just to spend money. We frequent in Playa but unfortunately, this will be our first and last visit to this establishment. It was very apparent that locals receive adequate service while others don’t. We have taken additional measures to ensure people do not support this establishment. Very disappointed we waisted can fare to explore this restaurant. On the brighter spectrum of things, if you would like to receive great treatment and enjoy great wine/cuisines be sure to check out Alux Restaurant and Lounge. This is a wine connoisseur’s dream location....

Make it a date night and just go. Judy was our waitress and she was top-notch. A small band quietly playing in the corner added to the ambience. We happen to meet the owner who was there with friends and he was so happy that we were happy. You gotta come to this restaurant, even though it’s a few miles away from the beach. At least one time per trip to this part of Mexico. Prices were a lot less than 5th Ave yet the dood and service twice as good. It’s our new favorite place. Oh yeah, they now are open to breakfast. We want to try that, as well.
