Mariscos Chilo Juriquilla — Restaurant in Querétaro

We arrived there at 3pm on a sunday and even though it was really crowded they gave us a table for 4 in no time. The food is really really delicious, we ordered mojarra al mojo de ajo, camarones al mango, camarones al chingadazo, some different kinds of tostadas and micheladas and wasn’t expensive at all. Service was really quick and the place is huge so they have lost of tables. A must try is definitely fresas con crema, they are really tasty and a perfect option to “cerrar con broche de oro” as we say here in México.

The food didn’t lived up to the hype. I ordered a special fried mojarra and was very disappointed. First of all the size wasn’t the one I expected. The fish was very overcooked and dry. Literally, there was nothing soft and juicy remaining. Also, they only serve you a bunch of lettuce with it. I was expecting at least a side of rice or some fries since they are commonly served with this dish but they did not. The price was the price was $20 USD and it was not worth it. I ordered a ceviche tostada and a shrimp cocktail and orange soda-water. Ceviche was not that bad, but the whole tostada only had a thin slice of avocado. It's price was 90 pesos, that's somewhere around 5 dollars. I just thought it was odd. The cocktail sauce was so sweet it seemed it was pure ketchup. That was disgusting.
