My fork had a crusty piece of rice stuck between the prongs. The salad was bitter and unappealing to me, the coconut shrimp was over breaded and over cooked and the coconut flavor was very faint, I could not see any coconut flakes as one typically see's. I consider over breaded to be more breading than shrimp and as you can see by the picture I included, the shrimp look huge, but what's inside is a basic medium size cocktail shrimp. The rice was bland as were the mashed potatoes. No butter, no sauce and no seasonings. The dipping sauce was ok, nothing to brag about and I can't tell you which sweet fruit flavor, but it had the texture of applesauce. I asked the waiter for more than half my order to-go and specifically asked for the sauce to be included, (so I didn't need to search for left-over Chinese sweet n sour at home). The mashed potatoes nor the rice or sauce were included in the to-go container. ( I would have reheated and added seasonings and butter). The salad was in the same container with my coconut shrimp so my shrimp was soggy. I fed it to my dog. Price was 295 and a real disappointment because over half was uneaten due to the soggy over battered shrimp in bitter salad. The free chips and salsa before the meal were the best part. People constantly mopping the floor was a turn off. When we finished and retreated to the beach service stopped. We had to move our own chairs to find two together that were operable, a dirty little table and then as I am going to sit I see the bird poop on the lounge chair...I thought to myself, why do they have someone mopping a clean floor when there is poop on your chairs. Why do they have chairs that don't work. If it were a cheap dive I'd understand, but it isn't. High prices equal high expectations and they...

Depending on what you order, food will be AWESOME or a dissappointment. To all the people out there complaining about beef dishes...THIS IS NOT A GOOD BEEF RESTAURANT. You do not come here to eat cow....you come here to eat seafood. I can’t blame all those people for ordering something that didn’t meet their expectations, but you also have do your homework before eating anywhere: every restaurant has its specialties and THAT’S what you should focus on.
Sorry for the rant, but it had to be said. The sea food here is AWESOME. Don’t order beef.
Having said that, the place, the service and the prices are all very good. Even if the price of some dishes is above average, the big portions for the dishes make up for it: we usually order two main dishes for two adults and one kid, and we’re all ok.
If you have toodlers, the place has a very nice playground area and a wading pool for the little ones. It’s a very nice perk that not all restaurants have.
After you’ve had your meal you can then relax on the beach-front beach beds the restaurant has. Another great perk quite unique to the place.
The ONLY bad thing and the main reason keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the service: we’ve been here A LOT of times, and even when the place only has two or three tables with clients it’s hard to find the waiters. For some reason the get lost for long periods of time, and finding someone that can fulfill a simple task gets frustrating. This is a MINOR detail, in my opinion, since it’s only one negative factor among many positive ones, but it’s a shame they have this issue since it does transform an otherwise pleasant experience into a...
Read moreOverall - Very Disappointing. A Poor Value The restaurant is beautiful. It is on the beach with seating under the palms and indoors. The violinist playing when we arrived was excellent. I'll give them a star for that. If it had been just that and we were drinking beers, they might have received 5 stars.
There were at least 15 employees running around a less than half-full restaurant. We were well attended, but our waiter didn't know about menu items, like the Signature Shrimp Salad (which is apparently is a Caesar salad with shrimp) or what time the band started.
It took 15 minutes for our beverage (a pitcher of Naranjada) to arrive. It was nearly an hour for the main course to arrive. (Perhaps some of the bored wait staff should be in the kitchen cooking.) My ceviche was good, but about the size of a small in other restaurants, but 3x the price. My wife's salmon was absolutely taste-less, as if it had the flavor boiled or steamed away. We got out of there paying $2300mxn for 3 entrees and 2 pitchers of flavored water.
Finally, we went there to try the place, taste the food and enjoy the live salsa/cumbia band. The band was far below average for the area, the lead singer sounding like he was struggling with puberty - trying to hit the notes, the others just didn't blend, individual volume levels totally unbalanced, and they played what looks like the musician's first instruments in middle school. Very Unprofessional and Disappointing. We'll...
