I recently dined at Gaia and had an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide array of local fish that were both fresh and expertly prepared. The service was outstanding, making the evening even more enjoyable. They successfully removed the cilantro from all the food I had, which is something that not all places can accomplish. A special shout-out to Chef Jabi, who did an amazing job presenting and explaining all the different local fishes. His insights and recommendations opened up a whole new world of flavors that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Highly recommend! Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but that’s expected for a restaurant by the beach at a 5-star hotel! Note that not all items on the menu are included in the all-inclusive plan. The online menu should be updated to reflect that.

My family had a dinner at Gaia, Mayakoba. The greeting was fantastic. The atmosphere is beautiful. We ordered oysters, tuna tartar, octopus as appetizers. All of them were fresh and melt in the mouth. As main courses we had white fish, clam pasta, salmon, and seafood soup. White fish with white sauce was so good. Highly recommend. Everyone was happy for their main courses. Only thing I want to mention is that bokchoy(Chinese green) in the salmon did not present well. The waiter was excellent. If you are in Fairmont Mayakoba you should try this restaurant.

We had a wonderful dinner at Gaia yesterday with my family. The service was truly astonishing—Cesar and Bruno went above and beyond to make the experience personal and memorable. The raw bar tour, along with their detailed explanations, gave us a new appreciation for sustainable fishing practices. The food was exceptional. The bacalao was hands down the most delicious fish I’ve ever had, and I highly recommend the Ensenada Cebiche—fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. A fantastic dining experience all around!

We expected a lot from this resturant - since other restaurants at the Fairmont were good to excellent. We had a very unpleasant experience at this resturant - service and atmosphere were great, but the food was terrible and overly priced. The butter was terrible - with seaweed - left a bad taste in our mouths. We ordered the shrimp - three shrimp with heads and tails included - supposedly 6 oz. But with the head and tail removed there was scarcely any shrimp left - about 2 oz. of shrimp - about six bites for USD 60! The shrimp was soft and tasted terrible.

We had the octopus as a starter. Served on some odd tasting bean spread. Again, the octopus was rubbery and tasteless.

Maybe the other seafood dishes were better. We will not return to find out. Extremely disappointed - for a fairmont dining venue.

Stick with Tauro, Nix, or La Laguna for dinning at...

We had such a great experience at GAIA. The vibe is warm and welcoming, but what really stood out was the amazing food and the awesome service.

Everything we ordered tasted super fresh. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients and put real care into every dish. So good!

Big shoutout to our server, Cesar, who was friendly and attentive the whole night. And thanks to Dimitri, the manager, for checking in to make sure everything was just right. Little touches like that make a huge difference.

If you’re looking for delicious food, fresh ingredients, and genuinely great service, definitely check out GAIA. Can’t...
