Monterrey Grill — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Muy delicioso. Must return.

This restaurant is about Calle 24 & 1st Avenida. They have only 6 seats, but a whole lot of heart.

I'd heard that the aracherra was unmatched, but I'm a sucker for a ribeye so made that my choice.

They have the tiniest grill & are able to put out food with a big taste.

My meal started with some tortillas & salsa. The green was amazing; spicy but not big lips spicy if you know what I mean.

My steak came on a wooden platter & was accompanied by grilled sweet corn & mashed potato formed into a 1/2 potato shape and grilled. The steak was tender and flame grilled. The potato was hot & the edges were deliciously crispy.

As I finished up my meal Ivan & Edwin made conversation & it was great to learn a bit more.

We had the pleasure of dining at this grill steak restaurant twice during our stay in Playa del Carmen, and we can say without hesitation that it was one of the best steak experiences we ever had. The food was beyond amazing, especially the rib eye steak, which was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavourful, and the free nachos + sauces were equally delicious. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional, and the atmosphere was inviting. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. We actually came back twice because the food was so so good.

Believe the reviews. This place is awesome! Just stopped in while doing a taco tour of some of the more famous spots. Had this saved on my map given the + reviews and because it seemed like a great street side spot. Owner(?) had just gotten the grill up to temp and after we decided on some skirt steak tacos he asked us to come back in 20 mins. Fantastic. Unexpectedly, the salsa's turned out to be better than what we had at some of the "must try" taqueria's. Wish we were hungrier. Awesome little spot grilling up steak right in front of you.
