The atmosphere is beautiful but I would avoid. The food is very expensive and cooked poorly. We ordered several things one being the lobster which was overcooked. We told them it was overcooked (not expecting them to take it back but more of an FYI). They took the lobster away anyways and then came back to let us know the chef tried our food and said it was fine. We disagreed and then they brought the food back! The chef ate off our food and who knows what else and then they gave it back. When they sent a manger over he told us they would remove the items from our bill. Which again we didn’t even originally ask for but since they took our plates, ate the food and then gave them back to tell us we were wrong, we thought removing it would be appropriate. A few mins later he came back to tell us that he was only giving us 10% off and kept threatening to call our concierge. Not really sure why since our concierge is just that, not someone who can tell us we have to do anything. The customer service is terrible, the food is terrible, the fact that there was not even an apology is ridiculous. Do not go here. There are better places...
Read moreInternational luxury in the mayan way. The Sahara Café is in the Jashita Hotel,in bahia Soliman, once you are there you don’t want to leave; It is very enjoyable to go there for lunch after a walk on the beach or for dinner while sun sets and the sea changes its color from emerald to a silvery red. You can get a table for drinks in the terrace, eat by the pool, in the garden , by the beach or relax in the comfortable and elegant dining area inside. Many options, all are fine! The service is excellent, they speak several languages and everybody is kind and accommodates the dishes to your taste; if you don’t like it spice, they make it mild, if you are allergic to something they make their suggestions, the same if you are vegan, gluten intolerant, etc. The selection of wines and cocktails is very good. The clever chef, Antonio Sierra is in every detail. The menu has a nice variety of dishes, it certainly is hard to decide, everything is delicious and beautifully presented. If you are in the Rivera Maya don’t miss it, you will be...
Read moreWe planned on visiting Pandano a day prior but weren’t able to get a taxi in time and the staff at Pandano were super gracious and accommodating. We finally made it and were seated with an incredible view of the sea. Our waiter Marcel was knowledgable and extremely personable. My son ate all of his pasta (fettuccini bolognese) and I enjoyed chicken Milanese with gnocchi and my husband had the burger and Greek salad. Food was excellent. We also had the flan for dessert and that was superb. I love flan. Not only was the service exceptional, Daniel took a lovely family photo for us on the waterfront. What really put our experience over the top was the staff’s attention to us as patrons. I mentioned that we were celebrating my son’s 2nd bday and the staff came out to sing to him as we were checking out. Actually brought me to tears, as it felt so genuinely special for my son. We hope to come back to Pandano. Thank you to Rubí for confirming my reservation, to Daniel for being so welcoming and Marcel for...
