Mashaalá TO GO — Restaurant in San Luis Potosí

Food was good, except there was no toasted / fried pieces of pita in the fattoush salad (which is the entire point of that salad, even when this was questioned it wasn’t fixed) and plain beets instead of pickled turnips were provided with the falafel. A decent amount of vegetarian options.

Server was kind, service was fast, and they are dog friendly, which is very nice.

However the server refused to provide drinking water and my date had to get a disposable plastic bottle of water (which aside from being a money grab is terrible for the environment), and the entire experience was ruined because a couple was chain smoking on the patio, which I now know has been illegal in Mexico since January 15 2023. Sat inside to get away from them which didn’t have the ambiance of the patio, and the smoke wafted...
