Asador la vaca argentina Mazatlán — Restaurant in Sinaloa

We arrived and hostesses were unfriendly, cold and unwelcoming, like they're doing you a favor and could care less about working there.

We were seated and it took a couple minutes before the first waiter came over and again no greeting, no hello, how are you doing. Straight to "what do you want to drink?" We asked if they had a drinks/cocktail menú, he said no that they have spirits and liquors but no list. We said no big deal and ordered are standard cocktails. Wife's gin and tonic presentation was solid and the Negroni was ok.

They kindly brought bread and tortillas bathed in beef fat. The bread was delicious soft, inside, hard crust, was not a fan of the tortillas but to each their own.

We started off with the empanadas, not bad but the spinach and cheese one was different. It was more or a spinach cream then as if the spinach was blended to a pulp then heated and mixed with cheese, not a fan. Definitely better empanadas out there.

We ordered a churrasco cooked medium well, the cream spinach and guacamole as a side. Meat was good quality and properly cooked and the guacamole was one of the best in Mazatlán, but the cream spinach again was a disaster.

We ordered the cheesecake for dessert and we're surprised that it was more of a pie with an Uber thin layer of cheesecake, topped with massive amounts of whipped cream and strawberries. The pie crust also was super salted and had a weird mustard taste to it.

During the whole dining experience there was always a cleaning lady going around, sweeping and the floor, which is not a good look and would unintentionally hit your feet while sweeping.

Not sure if I would go back maybe it was an off night for them but it definitely didn't leave a good impression.

09-24-25 Very disappointed tonight I ordered short ribs as the last time they were very good. Ribs were very tender and juicy. What they served me was not short ribs The bones on short ribs are normally 3 to 6 inches log. What they served me tonight the bone was 8 to 10 inches long. They were not the same as the first time very disappointed. The others had ordered steak. Both steaks were very tuff. Flavor was OK, but the quality was not good. For what was paid for the meals was upsetting as the flavor and quality of the meat was very poor. Will not...

Elegimos este lugar para celebrar el día de las madres (días después de la fecha porque no nos gustan los lugares llenos). El restaurante es muy bonito e ideal para este tipo de festejos, nos encantan los cortes así que lo elegimos por eso. Nos fuimos a la segura y pedimos corte NY y unas brochetas en término medio porque es nuestro término favorito, creo que al parrillero aún le falta práctica pues nuestros cortes estaban crudos de las orillas y un poco pasados en en centro pero de sabor estaban deliciosos y a las brochetas les faltó un poquito. Te recomiendo la pizza de champiñones y estaba 10/10, las entradas también estuvieron espectaculares unos tuétanos de res súper ricos y la entrada de cortesía también muy rica. Si no eres amante de los cortes también hay pastas nos encantó la de fetuccini a los 4 quesos.

Del servicio es bueno pero podría mejorar creo que nuestro mesero está algo distraído. Un lugar donde festejamos muy agusto y con una comida muy rica.
