Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating my husband’s birthday at an exquisite high-end restaurant in Mazatlán called 500 Noches, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the perfect backdrop for the evening's festivities. Dim lighting, elegant décor, and soft music created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and intimate, making it ideal for our special occasion.
The highlight of our dining experience was undoubtedly the tapas menu, which was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was bursting with flavors that danced on our palates. The garlic mushrooms were particularly amazing; they were sautéed to perfection and infused with rich garlic and herbs that complemented their earthy flavor beautifully. Our paella, a signature dish of the restaurant, was also a standout. It was incredibly tasty, with perfectly cooked rice and a delightful mix of seafood that made it joyful and satisfying.
Service at 500 Noches was fantastic. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent suggestions and ensuring our glasses were never empty. It was clear that the staff took great pride in offering top-notch service, which enhanced our overall experience.
To accompany our meal, we chose an interesting selection of cocktails, each crafted with care and creativity. They added a refreshing touch to the dining experience. We also indulged in a wonderful bottle of red wine that perfectly complemented our tapas and paella, further elevating the meal.
To round out our delightful dinner, we indulged in the restaurant's desserts: a rich, velvety cheesecake and a decadent brownie that was simply divine. Each dessert was a fantastic conclusion to the meal, leaving us thoroughly satisfied yet eager to return.
500 Noches is versatile enough to be enjoyed with a group of friends, making it a perfect spot for celebrations, or for a romantic dinner, as we experienced last night. The combination of delicious shared plates, an inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service made my husband’s birthday a truly unforgettable occasion. If you appreciate tapas and shared dishes, I wholeheartedly recommend 500 Noches. It’s a gem in Mazatlán that you do not...
Read moreThe ambiance is warm and nostalgic. The kind of place to take a good friend to reminisce over drinks... and the drinks were good (dry martini w/4 olives).
The service was excellent and Ruben, our server, did a great job! His supporting servers were pleasantly competent too. I think he made our one complaint, the salty food, bearable. The portion sizes are great, the presentations are attractive and we loved the Tapas! With such great attention to all the above, we were disappointed by how salty our 3 dishes were (Lasagna, Raviolis & Paella). The 1st order of Paella came out burnt and sticking to the pan. But Ruben quickly exchanged it for a new serving without. The saltiness made it difficult to give attention to the seasonings. So we will have to check it out again on our next visit. Perhaps, because of the restaurant's relative newness, they haven't fully trained their kitchen staff yet. I'm betting that's all it is.
But, all in all we enjoyed it. We plan to return soon for some drinks, because the vibe was warm...
