Mariscos El Charco — Restaurant in Sonora

I'm on vacation from Las Vegas, Nevada, and I want to say how much better Mexico is compared to the United States. Everyone in Hermosillo has been really nice to me. It's a great city, with its warm weather, happy music, and excellent food. This restaurant, El Charco, is another example of why Mexico is the best country in the world. The host staff here, instantly greeted me, and gave me a table outside- where cigarette smoking is allowed. I ordered a beer, and maybe 30 seconds later, I got my beer, tortilla chips, salsa and the menu! This was in 30 seconds! I've been to restaurants in Las Vegas, I sat down, and waited. Nothing. No bread. No menu, no waiters. After 10 minutes we just walked out. Now, back to El Charco. I was in no hurry. I wanted to drink my beer, smoke a cigarette, and think about how lucky I am to be in Mexico! Its raining, cold and miserable right now in California and Nevada, but last night around 6pm while I had dinner outside, it was 80 degrees fahrenheit. Just perfect. No mosquitoes, no flies. The waitress was the best. I then ordered their garlic shrimp, and another beer. The shrimp plate arrived quickly, and had big shrimp, a salad, rice, beautiful sliced avocadoes, and a basket of hot tortillas- all for 220 pesos, or, around 10 dollars USD! I was in no hurry, and made shrimp tacos using the rice and avocado slices. They also have various bottles of hot sauce on the table. I put on my tacos the habanero hot sauce to create the ultimate Mexican garlic shrimp tacos! My God, life doesn't get better than this. I thought about all the people who don't have enough money to experience a dinner like this, and I understood how fortunate I am. I hope in the future there will be no poverty. I hope everyone will be able to live their lives without fear, have money, and be able to enjoy their lives to the fullest of all possibilities. I rate this restaurant, El Charco a perfect 10. I will return soon and order their their famous shrimp cocktail- drink more beer, and give the highest praise to their hosts, waiters, waitresses, and talented...

Malísima experiencia, traigo todavía escaldada la boca de lo salado que comí He conocido otros lugares de mariscos en Hermosillo (vine de viaje) que tienen sucursales o franquicias fuera de Hermosillo y quise probar algo diferente,me hospedé cerca de este lugar y al buscar lo encontré con comentarios positivos por eso me atreví a probar Pero, lamentablemente me fue muy mal Camarones cucaracha, se ven espectaculares de buen tamaño, pero al comerlos, prácticamente es como haber echado un puño de sal en la boca, le comenté al mesero y comentó que así era el platillo, entonces si así es les recomiendo que lo quiten de su menú es imposible comerlo, lo acompañan con una salsa ácida muy buena y ni así Pedí una sopa de mariscos y todo lo contrario súper insípido agua hervida con mariscos, como será que tome los camarones cucaracha los sumergí en ese caldo y no así agarró sabor El caldo muy caliente como debe ser, lástima Un taco gobernador de pulpo, ese si estaba bueno El agua de guayaba yo creo que la hacen mega dulce para poder compensar lo salado Definitivamente o era mal día para el cocinero y el que hace las aguas o era un mal día para mi El lugar no se llena ni a la mitad es muy caro,aclaró el ue cuando vale la pena y la experi necia es grato y por supuesto un equilibrio en valor precio nada que decir de los precios, pero aquí cobran hasta la servilletas Pedí un vaso con agua y hielo y sino si te atacan una agua embotellada porque sus argumentos son que no tienen agua potable y no recomiendan el agua de la llave, queeeee y como preparan los alimentos Como ya mencioné malísima experiencia no regreso a ese lugar ni gratis Pueden visitar otro lugar definitivamente a menos que busquen cocer su boca con sal y comer alimentos insípidos
