Restaurante Bar Blackie's — Restaurant in Sonora

#1 of some sites buuuut it is not international, or maybe it is to them. On the menu shrimp fettuccine, stuffed chicken , stuffed fish, steak, simple salads.... not impressive. What was impressive was the restaurant decorated really nice with frida Khalo pictures, heart glass chandelier, mosaic art. Went on a Tuesday and there was live music a man singing on a piano songs my in laws knew. Staff was attentive. Restaurant was pretty empty and so they stood there watching us waiting if we needed anything which was weird. Price was $170-$500 pesos for main courses which is pricey...

This was our first time eating at Blackie's. We both ordered the petit chateaubriand, it was seriously the best steak I've had in years. Armando prepared it tableside and it was cooked to perfection, so tender and flavorful. Armando was very attentive, even with multiple parties having flambe. We shared a flan for dessert. My husband thought it was too "eggy" but I enjoyed it. The vibe was relaxed, music was unobtrusive, just instrumental Mexican ballads. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will be back and will recommend...

Not impressed with the food, but the service was good. I changed my mind about what kind of salad I wanted, but they brought it to the table anyway and we were charged for it. It was unremarkable, and so were the Cesar salads. We sent our mustard steaks back to be cooked a little more. By the time they were ready, our table mates had finished their food. Was expecting a baked potato, but received two tablespoons of mashed. Have been hearing about that restaurant for years. First visit...
