La Cabaña — Restaurant in State of Mexico

We went to La Cabaña to celebrate my husband's birthday and give our son the chance to get out some energy on the playground equipment. We chose the restaurant based on a drive-by while visiting the pyramids. While service was a bit slow, everything else about La Cabaña was amazing. I had the cabrito, or young goat, while my husband ordered a steak and our son got both soup and rice with a fried egg. The food was outstanding, the goat ranks amongst the best dishes I have ever eaten. I highly recommend...

let's put it this way the best thing was the cold beer, we order mixiotes and were cold we return them (but they still charge me for it), the sopes are the worst i ever seem=n if like the cook didn't want to do his job, we order a parrillada and was awful, in general all the food was an embarrassment to mexican food. i paid almost $4,000 pesos (250 cdn) for 8 people....

They location is pretty and the service is great. But the food was average. Maybe what we order was just ok. But prices weren't outrageous. Bathroom situation was a little weird. They have a girl pouring buckets of water after you are finished. I don't feel comfortable with someone else going on after I use the bathroom. But might be because they water pressure...
