Ristorante Carleone — Restaurant in Tamaulipas

My wife and I stopped by for a drink outside after dinner around 10pm. Place was lively with a talented couple singing American favorites. Very nice atmosphere. We didn't try the food, but the drinks were good and fast. Service was excellent. There is a minimum per table if you sit outside, but makes sense because you are not paying for the music. As an Italian the pizza was cooked correctly with quality chees but the problem I had was the crust wasn't that great and also there was no sauce and if you are making a pizza without sauce you need parmesan and guess what. They charged an extra 20 pesos when I asked for some. On the bill it said "extra" parmesan. I told the waiter, it's not "extra" if you didn't add any parmesan to begin with...sad for the server she didn't get tipped by me and I told her to tell the owner to let her keep the 20 pesos the charged me for parmesan on my 95 pesos...

Fui el viernes santo 15 de abril, habia una mujer cantando y mesas afuera, nos sentamos en una mesa plegable blanca de plastico, junto con sillas de plástico (la mesa estaba toda sucia).

Primero; preguntamos al mesero por el precio de las cervezas y nos dijo que no sabía. Cuando pedimos las cervezas, nos preguntó si pediríamos algo de comer, respondimos que no, solo íbamos a tomarnos unas cervezas. Se fue, y cuando volvió dijo que no nos pueden vender cerveza si no consumimos alimentos, vimos alrededor y había varias mesas solo consumiendo cerveza.

Pedimos que nos trajeran agua de jamaica, cafe o alguna otra bebida y nos volvieron a negar el servicio. Fuimos con el dueño y salió que era su decisión! El dueño nos negó el servicio, su argumento fue que “le tenía que pagar a la mujer cantando y que no le estaban consumiendo”.

Cuando checamos la carta; era una opalina sucia y mojada, los precios eran excesivos, todos los platillos estaban por encima de los $180MXN. Claramente era un menú inflado por la temporada alta.

Jamás vuelvo a ir, y ojalá que no se encuentren al dueño! Que lo único que le interesa es la utilidad y no el servicio. Asco de lugar, de personal y de administración. Lo único bueno era la música en vivo (que fue la razón por la cual nos negaron el servicio...
