Pippa and I had the tasting menu tonight. Six exellent courses of modern Mexican food. The chef and staff should be congratulated. Mexican flavors which were both familiar and new. The salad with crickets w wonderful. The smoked fish on a tortilla with a thin layer of beans fantastic. Followed by fish in a butter sauce with some chili. Pork two ways followed by a chilled fruit dessert. Finally a dessert made with zapote negra, a fruit typical of the area but hard to find. If you are in Veracruz it is well worth making the trip. The staff were excellent.

Esperaba tener una mejor experiencia en este lugar por las recomendaciones de conocidos y publicidad en todos lados pero no fue así. El lugar no es tan lindo, tiene pantallas gigantes que no permiten disfrutar agusto, tuve que solicitar que apagaran el clima cercano a nuestra mesa porque daba directamente y estaba realmente frío. Ordené el menú de degustación y sólo 2 de los 5 platillos me parecieron buenos, la carne no estaba bien cocida y era mayormente grasa, el pescado no tenía buen sabor y para el precio me parece que los platillos no pueden permitirse estos errores, sólo disfruté el postre de chocolate y la calabaza criolla. El platillo de mi acompañante fue bastante bueno eligió pesca en totomoxtle y esquite al carbón, de las 2 entreñadas sólo nos gustó el tirado de pesca del día, las cacalas de tuétano y chintextle con demasiado aceite y sobrecocidas, carbonizadas diría...
