Popped into La Plăcinte and left genuinely happy. The Chulama with polenta was the star, super tender meat, perfectly sautéed mushrooms, and a creamy sauce that ties everything together. The Domnyasc with cottage cheese impressed me too: beautifully flaky, crisp layers with a light, milky filling. Service was warm and attentive without hovering, and the place itself is simple in the best way, clean, cozy, and nicely put together. Prices are fair for the quality.

I had such a fantastic experience at La Plăcinte in Chișinău! I was seriously craving some authentic borsch and those salty potato-filled pancakes — and wow, they absolutely delivered. Everything was freshly made, full of flavor, and exactly what I was hoping for.

We sat outside on the terrace, which had a really cozy and relaxed vibe — perfect for enjoying a quiet meal and people-watching. I also tried the local Chișinău beer, and it paired perfectly with the food. Light, refreshing, and really tasty!
