Natalia and Denis – Exceptional Service!

We dined at Acasa la Mama twice during our visit – once for dinner and again for lunch the next day – and both experiences were outstanding!

At dinner, Natalia was our server, and she truly went above and beyond. She was friendly, funny, and her recommendations turned out to be spot on! When it came time for dessert, we couldn’t decide, so she offered to surprise us—and what a surprise it was! Our meal consisted of wine, a mutton stew with onions and sweet peppers, stewed rabbit in a sour cream sauce with mushrooms, and homemade flatbread with butter and garlic. For dessert, Natalia brought us walnuts stuffed with dried plums, served with ice cream, and baked quince—absolutely AMAZING and DELICIOUS!

The following day, we returned for lunch, planning to enjoy a simple bowl of soup. Denis was our server this time, and like Natalia, he had great energy, a sense of humor, and wonderful recommendations. We followed his suggestions and ordered the fisher’s soup, green Moldavian borscht, and of course, the homemade flatbread with butter and garlic.

The service and atmosphere at Acasa la Mama were impeccable. Natalia and Denis made our visits memorable, and their warmth and professionalism truly stood out.

This place was recommended by our hotel receptionist. We came in a tad late (maybe 30min before kitchen close (still plenty of time, as we ordered quickly). The food was OK (which is why it gets 2 stars and not 1) but the service was appaling. The waitress was rushed, as if we stopped her from going home. We asked for recommendations, we were recommended the highest priced meals on the menu (I checked) with little regard to what we said we wouldn't want. After the soup came and we had a little bit, waitress came to pick it up as it was literally 75%+ full. She seemed annoyed we told her to leave it on the table. This was the attitude all throughout the night. This is not a cheap place where they are supposed to make money on volume, it's a high-end-of-town location where (IMHO) this behaviour is totally unacceptable (not that it would be in a low priced place either) So, although the food was (as I said) OK, the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth and I'd not return here. Would ...

Quite good traditional cuisine with adequate interior. I’ve tried almost all their menu (except drinks) with different occasions and I can say that food is good (but not the best).

The management should be improved. Each time I was here, the administrator was hysterically shouting at the waitress ignoring the presence of the clients. This of course make you feel uncomfortable even if you have the best food and the nicest interior.

Out of all traditional restaurants in Chisinau, this probably has the best quality/price ratio. So it’s not the nicest, with the best service and fancy interior, but it is also not the...

Is a good restaurant, great service, the food is ok, is good but not really what i expected, a little bit different than what is in the menu, some couse of the region difference than Romania, like turta in Romania is made by corn, in Moldavia is made by wheat, in meniu are meatballs with tomato sauce but they serve some tiny meatballs with couple ingredients just and no herbs, in vegetable stew, not sauce, And “jumari” were actually just pork meat fried in oil, is not meat stored in pork fat how “jumari” are made, So i took a star for this. Is good restaurant but i ll try other ones next time,
