Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo — Restaurant in Monaco

My recent visit to Buddha Bar in Monte Carlo, Monaco, was an exquisite experience that left me and my group of five companions thoroughly satisfied. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly and guided seamlessly through our dining adventure by the attentive and knowledgeable staff.

The Maki California and Maki Salmon Avocado were fresh and vibrant, while the Sushi Shake and Maki Saumon Philadelphia were a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. The Crispy Salmon and Rock Star dishes were cooked to perfection, and the Black Cod and Poulet 5 Parfums were bursting with flavor. Unacceptable behavior from the management! I visited many other BB restaurants and have always been treated with respect, here everybody is treated very badly and the manager is the problem. The way he interacts with the guests is aggresive and unprofessional. Despicable and disgusting person. So we had an engagement dinner, we wanted to celebrate it in our fav restaurant with dinner, cocktails and shisha. The hostess at thr entrance told us that the shisha was allowed on the terrace only but after we finished our dinner we could pay and move there. Not mentioning anything about the requirement to open a bottle of champagne If we want to seat there. We finished our lovely dinner and as suggested went to ask for a place on a terrace. This rude and disgraceful manager came up to us and with a very aggresive tone said we were not getting our table unless we plan to open a bottle of champagne! We already spent a good amount of the money in that moment and we didn’t feel like drinking champagne, we asked if we could drink cocktails for the same amount of the money as the money was not the issue, we just wanted to stay because of the shisha and more cocktails and until that moment we had such a good time. He aggresively refused us, saying ‘here is very busy and many people are waiting so there is no table for you’. He ruined my engagement, he spoiled my mood and I just decided to leave and go celebrate somewhere else, as I did. As a guest of this chain, as someone who goes exclusively to Buddha Bar wherever I find it, this behaviour got me so angry and very dissapointed. If you want to be treated like garbage while paying lots of money, apparently this is the place now. I have been a customer at Buddha Bar Monaco for 10 yers, but the experience I had this evening was disgusting! Btw most of the staff was actually very nice, but the manager of the terrace was a piece of work. He treated most customers like some annoying bugs. We called in advance to ask for a reservation on the terrace and were kindly told that no reservations can be taken for the terrace, which was the case in previous years too, so no big deal. When we arrived around 7.30pm half of the terrace was empty but “booked”, tables that were never claimed by anyone, instead a highly unpleasant manager was constantly shifting tables and chairs, moving people, screaming from across the terrace to call staff. It felt very busy, noisy and unpleasant, like some sort of a cheap tavern. After less than 2 hours (after we had dinner, a bottle of wine, shisha and just ordered more drinks) we were unceremoniously asked to leave because apparently a bigger group was coming and they needed our table. When I made a point to the manager that that was unacceptable behavior towards any client he just told us to move to a different table, and at this point I honestly got so mad that I just paid the bill and we left.
