It’s very small but somewhat of an institution here in UB. Points deducted for service because when my friend who doesn’t eat chicken asked if there was chicken broth in the udon he was told “no”. After it arrived is smelled of chicken so we asked again. This time we were told that there is indeed chicken in the broth. The soup was not deducted from the bill even though it just stayed untouched. We ate the rest of what we ordered and were ignored completely by the staff. Very strange behaviour. Generally the quality is very consistent and reliable. Be aware when buying cakes that often they are frozen from before and may not have defrosted when you bite into them. Read moreSuch a great little spot. If you're in Ulaanbaatar, you'll most likely find yourself at the State Department Store at some point. Just down the road is this bakery/restaurant. It's one of my wife's favourites because of their baked goods.
So, I had to try it. While I never had the opportunity to try their food beyond the baked goods, what I did have was incredible. 3 different cheesecakes and a piece of apple tart and all were delicious. Their Special Cheesecake was something I've never had before. It was unlike any cheesecake I've ever had and the topping was like a sweet cloud....

Prepare for a long wait to be seated though. And once you sit, you better eat up and make space quickly for the next people in the queue.
It is a real experience and I highly recommend it. But I can also understand the people that don't like the concept, hence my warning here.
