Yuna Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Ulaanbaatar

Possibly the worst experience I've had in a Korean Restaurant in Mongolia. Food tastes below average but the absolute worst thing is the service. After suggesting to wait until the table gets cleaned, the manager insisted on us sitting down at the table and waiting. It took them 20 minutes to clean the table and we were just sitting there with other people's leftovers and used napkins in our faces. After the table got cleaned, I asked the waiter for a menu and he said "wait" in an unpleasant manner. After another 10 minutes of waiting for a menu, I realize that the waiter is sitting in the booth next to ours, fidgeting on their phone, and when confronted about it, didn't seem to care as if we were begging for them to work there as a waiter. And finally, we told the manager about the service we were provided, unsurprisingly they blamed everything but themselves, and we ended up leaving without even...

Hate to say it but we had worst experience at this Korean restaurant. They mixed our order with next tables’: brought things we didn’t order then leaving only side dishes and rice on our table from their order. My kids were playing and eating the dishes for about another 10-15 minutes till our order came. Then there weren’t enough utensils for us. The slowest waiter had us waited for another 2-3 minutes to have utensils. It was embarrassing to look out and ask others for utensils while she came little too late. Topping all these unpleasant experiences, a waitress brought our kids lemon and cherry ice cream instead of strawberries and chocolate ice cream and only one bubble tea out of three we ordered. Who the hell do such a thing to young kids I am glad our kids didn’t throw any tantrum, but none of the didn’t even touch the ice cream. Older ones spent almost another 8-10 minutes to get their missing bubble teas. For food, some of the dishes tasted like they use same sauces, tasting pretty same, had me feels like complete idiot ripped off again. Guess what, I am writing this review on the toilet with sore a** hole. That’s why I remember everything that went wrong last night and having the time for this long review. We’re regular visitors to Yuna and we find our experience varies especially from branch to branch. First of the negative: in this Yuna today at 12:00 pm has to be the service. The team were polite and courteous but it took an age to get noticed. We rang the bell and called for help but waited around 10-15 minutes. As you’ll see from the pictures the place wasn’t busy.

The food was good and bibimbap was served as it should be sizzling away in its stone bowl. The appetisers were as always impressive although potatoes tasted like they had been cooked 2 days ago. My wife had Korean soup and it was tasty and flavoursome. As it was -20 outside she found it a perfect...
