We visited this café this morning after passing by it multiple times during our stay, drawn in by its pretty aesthetic. The food was good, the ambience was nice, and being close to the beach made it even better. The café was clean and overall, we really enjoyed it.
What turned us off, however, was the lady at the cash register who took our orders. She wasnât friendly at all and came across as quite arrogant. Unfortunately, she didnât have a name tag. We politely asked if they had a food menu, since we had seen other guests eating toasties, but she responded in a condescending tone and simply told us to âlook at the board behind her.â We had already been looking at the board prior to asking, which made her response unnecessary.
Since there were three of us, we had to take turns placing our orders, and we all agreed that her attitude was unfriendly. One of my friends even pointed out that perhaps it was because we were the only Asians there, as we noticed she was noticeably nicer to other customers.
Despite this, I would still recommend the cafĂ© for its food, atmosphere, and locationâthough I hope the staff could be a bit more welcoming. I wouldnt go back to that place if that lady would be serving me again. That was the worst customer experience in...
Read moreA charming spot in a great location, Lavish Bakehouse has a very creatively designed menu and overall concept that draws you in.
Atmosphere & Concept: The place is lovely, and the idea behind the menu is fun and appealing.
Food: Unfortunately, the actual food doesnât quite live up to the expectations. The croissants werenât fresh, and in terms of taste and quality, there was little difference compared to the ones youâd find at a gas station convenience store (like the Fresh section at INA). The sandwiches were okay â probably among the better options along that stretch of the promenade, but nothing memorable.
Service: Service was generally fine. There seemed to be enough staff, but the overall organization could be improved to make things more efficient and avoid unnecessary crowding during peak times.
Prices: Prices are matching Porto Montenegro, but experience doesnât.

Read moreI was so excited to try a new place for matcha. I ordered strawberry foam matcha latte and blueberry coconut cloud matcha. The most part is made with water and the "latte" part is in the cloud. For me, it was too strong and not tasty, and I couldn't even finish the drink. My boyfriend who drinks ceremonial grade matcha with just water also didn't like the taste. I was a bit disappointed because it looks so good on instagram.
I tried strawberry cloud matcha latte in one place in Berlin and they made the drink with milk + cloud on top, so I think you should give it a try.
The people working inside are very nice and friendly, but I think the system is not the best and you wait to order a really long time (it was only few people in...
