We were greeted by a friendly waiter who directed us to a table next to the water's edge. Menu has a fantastic variety of food and we chose their house mixed entree for 2 and fish soup which were absolutely superb. What made it more superb was their special bread, which was probably some of the best ever. We went on to mains of chargrilled local squid and fish. I'm a bit of a chargrilling perfectionist at home, and these were perfectly executed. Everything also came out really quickly and well presented, which was very much appreciated. Fantastic restaurant, brilliant service, professional, and a great night. Thanks Divino! I think we'll be back tonight.
Update Monday 14 July: We went again to this lovely restaurant tonight...and it was just as good the second time. Our waiter from the previous night, Aleksa, recognised me and came to shake my hand upon seeing me. The restaurant was super busy tonight due to the public holiday. But despite having no tables outside at the waters edge, the staff saw us to an inside take ahead of seeing us to an outside table shortly after, which was quite quickly. Aleksa, again served us, and once again the food was amazing. We opted for his recommendation of a Sole baked with vegetables. Just beautifully cooked and it was incredible. And we gave Aleksa the pleasure of plating the fish for us, which he did incredibly well (I disappointed him the first night by opting to do it myself). It's always such a pleasure coming to a place where there is the combination of feeling so welcomed, with amazing food, and a location that's spot on in terms of views and not feeling overwhelmed by crowds or noise. To the owner...Aleksa is such a great guy! Awesome sense of humour, incredibly professional, very attentive without being annoying, foresaw our needs, and simply didn't miss a beat. I've been to many 3 Michelin star restaurants around the world and Aleksa rivals the service of any of these establishments. If only all waiters everywhere were like Aleksa the gastronomical world would be perfect! Thanks Aleksa, you were fantastic! So with part two of our visit to Divino done I can confidently say that this establishment is highly recommended! Thanks...
Read moreBelfast couple. Second visit to eat here in a few days. First time, we had lunch. This time (16th July) we had dinner. An outside table was reserved for 8.00 pm; reservations are strongly recommended as this place is popular. Staff remembered and welcomed us, which was nice. We had the meat and cheese platter for starters, followed by the veal and octopus dishes for mains. The mains were fabulous—I mean, seriously good. The depths of flavours in both dishes were superb; the octopus casserole-style dish was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. These chefs can cook! If you have previously only experienced rubbery octopus that requires serious chewing to get through, prepare for a revelation. It was divine! My advice is to ask for a teaspoon … to ensure that you don’t miss out on the stock. Staff were very attentive and professional, and very well informed—and passionate—about the food. Total bill was Euros 105 for two, including starters, mains, water and ciders (no wine). You can eat here for lowers prices, too. The pasta dishes...
Read moreWe’ve been in Montenegro for a month and this restaurant deserves all of the 5 star reviews. The mussels were some of the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. Our waiter Dusan was attentive and provide 5 star service. The fish - oh I’ve eaten so much fish in the last month - it was bizarrely good and better than I could have imagined. Just go here. You won’t be disappointed.
I also have to add that we sat next to ‘Daniel’ who complained about ‘EVERYTHING’ in crazy dramatic fashion. My husband and I rolled our eyes the whole dinner and I’m appalled but not shocked by his review. The waiter offered to replace the food - to do anything to fix the perceived issues - and the family just dismissed the gestures. You can’t please everyone but some people are just jerks.
I highly recommend this place and we will be back. Have I mentioned the...
