I ordered the Iskender, which by definition comes with Lahmacun â not plain bread. When the food arrived, I noticed the Lahmacun was missing. I asked the staff, and only then was I told they didnât have it today.
If something that central to the dish isnât available, the right thing to do is inform the customer before serving. Instead, they brought the plate as if nothing was missing, and when I questioned it, they said âitâs the same thing â just bread with chili.â
That response said everything. I didnât care about a discount â I cared about integrity, honesty, and respect for authentic Turkish food. Lahmacun is not just âchili breadâ; itâs a cultural dish with its own craft and flavour.

Ce jour-lĂ , aprĂšs y avoir mangĂ©, jâai Ă©tĂ© victime dâun malaise accompagnĂ© de vomissements peu de temps aprĂšs le repas. Ce fut une expĂ©rience aussi dĂ©sagrĂ©able sur le plan gustatif que prĂ©occupante sur le plan sanitaire.
Tout a commencĂ© avec le sandwich shawarma au bĆuf que jâai commandĂ©. Il sâest rĂ©vĂ©lĂ© ĂȘtre une vĂ©ritable imposture : une portion minuscule de viande, presque invisible, noyĂ©e sous une montagne de laitue et de tomates. Le peu de viande prĂ©sent nâavait aucun goĂ»t â aucune Ă©pice, aucune saveur. CâĂ©tait fade et franchement immangeable.
Le plat principal, quant Ă lui, a Ă©tĂ© encore plus choquant. On mâa servi des ailes de poulet crues Ă lâintĂ©rieur, avec du sang visible, ce qui est totalement inacceptable dans un Ă©tablissement de restauration. Câest un manquement grave aux rĂšgles dâhygiĂšne et un risque rĂ©el pour la santĂ©. Les frites qui accompagnaient le plat Ă©taient, elles aussi, de trĂšs mauvaise qualitĂ© : molles, grasses, sans saveur, et donnaient lâimpression dâavoir Ă©tĂ© rĂ©chauffĂ©es plusieurs fois.
Jâai renvoyĂ© les ailes de poulet en demandant une cuisson correcte. Elles sont revenues brĂ»lĂ©es Ă lâextĂ©rieur et toujours crues Ă lâintĂ©rieur. CâĂ©tait non seulement dĂ©goĂ»tant, mais cela a montrĂ© un manque flagrant de professionnalisme en cuisine.
Ă cela sâajoute le jus de citron que jâai commandĂ©, qui Ă©tait tout aussi mĂ©diocre : un goĂ»t dĂ©sagrĂ©able, acide de maniĂšre artificielle, comme sâil avait Ă©tĂ© prĂ©parĂ© avec des ingrĂ©dients de basse qualitĂ©, voire pĂ©rimĂ©s.
En rĂ©sumĂ©, ce repas a Ă©tĂ© une vraie catastrophe. Non seulement la qualitĂ© de la nourriture Ă©tait lamentable, mais elle a provoquĂ© une intoxication, ce qui est extrĂȘmement grave. Par consĂ©quent, je dĂ©conseille formellement ce restaurant Ă toute personne soucieuse de sa santĂ© ou de la qualitĂ© de ce quâelle consomme.
