In September 2024, I stayed six nights in Dakhla, Morocco with my identical twin brother. Dakhla is located in one of the most remote areas of Morocco, on a long peninsula in the Western Sahara, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and a large lagoon on the other.
To our delight, we discovered My Octopus restaurant, considered one of the best seafood restaurants in Dakhla.
One night, my brother decided to have a penne pasta and I had a craving for pizza Siciliana with anchovies.
The interior is simple and tastefully decorated with glossy white walls and comfortable chairs. There is a vase with a fresh rose on each table. My Octopus is also air-conditioned, which makes it pleasant.
Our waiter spoke good English, and he was polite and provided excellent service. He brought delicious toasted slices of bread and garlic and olive tapanades.
I ate all my food and thought the anchovy pizza as good as what I have enjoyed in Tangier.
We informed the waiter that we would return again the next night. When we arrived for our second dinner, the waiter greeted us in a polite and friendly manner after we sat at a table near the kitchen.
I decided to order six oysters from Dakhla and a Bisque, plus some frites. My brother ordered a Moroccan salad and we shared some toasted bread with garlic and olive tapanades and a bottle of water. All were excellent. I left the waiter a generous tip for his attentive service.
An indication that this is arguably the best restaurant in Dakhla was that there were seven other diners who all appeared pleased with their carefully prepared and artistically presented dishes.

The food is professionally cooked with a lot of care and love infused into our dishes. The seafood was amazing, the salads crisp and fresh, the flavors of the dishes that we had were out of this world. We have never experienced such quality of food and unique flavors. Located next to the Atlantic ocean on the lagoon side in Dakhla, like a romantic beach holiday. The dining room was small enough to feel intimate yet large enough to have space between the tables so that you didn't feel like you were eating on top of your neighbors. The staff was very welcoming and warm. French is the predominant language, but of course they also speak Arabic and Darija.
We absolutely love this place. I recommended for anybody visiting...
