LA VILLA — Restaurant in Fez

The best patisserie in Fes with a huge variety of cakes, croissants, ice cream cakes and sweet gifts. They use fine ingredients in their pastry and you can feel it from the first bite. Pizza as well is the greatest that I ever eat in Fes!! The breakfast as well as dinner menu have a lot of options. Service is nice and staff is very helpful all the time.

The only thing that is the reason for me to CHANGE and AVOID this place and NEVER bring my family and kids is the fact of allowing people to SMOKE INSIDE and I can't take it anymore. The staff is following the stupid concept of the management to allow it and can't do anything with it! The smoke is everywhere (first and second floors)! I think they will lose the best customers soon and they will be left with those guys who buy just a cup of coffee, sit and smoke there for hours, and convert the best patisserie boutique and restaurant into the SMOKING CHIMNEY. And we can't enjoy the most delicious dish or patisserie and suffer from cough due to cigarette stench. It's very sad.

So if you care about your health and the health of your kids and loved ones, just AVOID this place. But if you don't care then...

Last night, we had dinner at this restaurant. The waiter was nice. The food was (partially) good. However, our experience at this establishment was worsened by the rudeness of the two ladies at the bakery counter. To us, it felt like a form of racism against European Moroccans, as if our Berber-european accent when speaking and our lack of certain terms known in the Moroccan dialect somehow devalued us as human beings. It would have been more pleasant if the ladies had at least waited until we had completely left the restaurant before they started mocking us, laughing conspicuously, and even talking about us in a way that I could hear. Of course, such behavior is inappropriate even in our absence, but at least it wouldn’t have been as insulting given that one of the ladies was smiling at us and pretending to be polite. It’s worth noting that the other lady had a cold and rude expression from the very beginning.

Just to add, one of the ladies asked us about our place of residence. As long as this lady doesn’t intend to bring us home, I don’t understand why she would ask such a private question...

Awful cuisine. If you appreciate high-quality food, this isn’t the destination for you. While some might favor this place due to its location, the food is undoubtedly subpar. We sampled a variety of breakfast dishes, and visually, they left much to be desired. Initially, we dismissed it as a minor issue, but our disappointment grew as we started eating. Regrettably, we couldn’t even finish our meals.
