Worth the walk to eat with locals. Looks to be a typical and traditional cafe resturant. Really good friendly atmosphere. Waiters really earn their pay. Excellent service. I enjoyed a lunchtime baked chicken with rice and "frites" and a Moroccan mixed salad with a coke zero. It was not high quality but more typical but most of all very enjoyable.

There was some confusion with the bill which i dont think was intentional. I had figured it to be around 50 DHM. He said 42 but it sounded like 72 so while i thought that wasnt right i gave him 72. Course i didnt get any change. So after challenging he gave me 20. So i didnt bother trying to remonstrate for the other 10. Paying 52 / £4.14 for my lunch meal including a coke zero and an extra 10/80p wasnt the end of the world.

I feel it was not intentional and therefore i would recommend and return.

Lots of friendly and clean cats looking for titbits which of course i didnt mind.

It was a very enjoyable experience eating...

We were extremely disappointed with the service and food here. We ordered salad, skewers, quarter roast chicken, french fries and lentils. Roast chicken, fries and lentils were not served for a long time. After walking over 3 times to the counter to ask, finally they were served after another 20 mins. However, the roast chicken, rice and fries were COMPLETELY cold. Chicken was as dry as dessert. We were even more disappointed when seeing our adjacent table had juicy and hot roast chicken served. We were wondering whether we were profiled and treated differently as foreigners without a local guide. Not recommend this...

Excellent and very affordable local place to eat! This is a local restaurant not a fancy luxurious one, it is always filled with locals, when you travel to another country and see a place filled with locals, that’s the place to eat and go. So expect very simple set up with plastic chairs and tables, the service is very friendly and fast and the food is deliciously homemade! Don’t mind the beggars around there, they are too insistent and know its the jackpot place in ouarzazate, just ignore them, even if it’s annoying sadly!!! This is the ideal place to try many authentic...

We went to Bahja restaurant because we were recommended and it was a good idea, indeed. The service was super fast and the waiters were really nice and friendly and I have to say its the cheapest food I ate in Morocco for sure, and good valuable for money, they have an excellent cook, very well prepared dishes. We had the beans stew wich was delicious, a moroccan salad and the grilled chicken brochettes. We liked so much that we had to come again to try their famous tajin, very good, only served during lunch time.
