Restaurant El Yasmina — Restaurant in Tinghir

This little restaurant in the small town of Tinghir serves as a convenient pit stop en route to Oaurzazate. The entrance is rather nondescript but it leads to a fairly spacious indoor seating with many large tables catering to tour groups. Service was a bit slow, compared to other restaurants in other towns.

The vegetable soup is typically Moroccan, bland but can be zazzed up with some salt and pepper. It goes well with the dry local bread. The kebabs (skewered meat) comes as a platter with rice, potatoes and carrots. The Moroccan rice here is somewhat wetter than other types of cooked rice. The potatoes and carrots were cooked until quite soft with a light hint of stew flavour. The kebab meat was cooked enough, however it tasted rather dry and lacked enough local spices. Dopo una giornata indimenticabile nella Valle e nelle gole del Todra, la semplice ma affascinante location del ristorante ci ha accolto calorosamente. Abbiamo iniziato il pasto con una deliziosa zuppa di zucca leggermente piccante, che ha dato il via a un'esperienza culinaria straordinaria. Il piatto principale, un tradizionale tajine con polpette di agnello e uova al tegame, accompagnato da verdure miste, ci ha conquistato con il suo sapore autentico magrebino. Per concludere il pasto in bellezza, abbiamo assaporato dei deliziosi dolcetti, il tutto accompagnato dal classico tè verde alla menta, un tocco finale perfetto.
