​Seeds Restaurant & Lounge: A Perfect Night for an Anniversary ​We chose Seeds Restaurant & Lounge to celebrate our 19th anniversary, and honestly, it was the perfect choice. This is fine dining done right, but without any stuffiness. ​The Sunset View and Romantic Setting ​The location on the West Bank of Inya Lake is just incredible. Watching the amazing, beautiful sunset over the water while we were having our dinner felt like pure magic. The team went all out for our anniversary—our special table was scattered with red and pink rose petals, lit by soft candlelight, and featured a lovely single rose in a vase. It created this incredibly cozy, romantic atmosphere that was perfect for us. ​Food, Cocktails, and the Cheese Trolley! ​Before dinner, we hit the cocktails. Seriously, try their cocktails! The YGN in particular was a major highlight—we just loved it. ​For the meal, we went with the Element and Sunshine set menus and everything was delicious. We had two great starters, a main (the beautifully plated beef and asparagus dish was a highlight!), and finished with the cheese platter and sweets. The European-style dishes were expertly prepared and plated—it’s obvious that so much care goes into the food. It tastes so good and works well for Asian palates, too. ​The moment when the staff rolled out the cheese trolley for the platter was such a classic fine-dining touch and a real treat! ​The Service is the Best Part ​The cozy atmosphere and tasty dishes were great, but the staff? They were the jewel of the crown. They knew it was our anniversary and totally spoiled us! They set up the special table and surprised us with a lovely cake, chocolate, and a song! after having missed this great dining on my pre-covid trip to RGN, I managed to dine in, wouldn’t say fortunately, cause last time I couldn’t book a table.

So as I expected, a well-curated fine dining experience, with everything just proper and right. The plus are the genuinely friendly and so professional services from the staff. One even recognised me from my previous stays at the Strand. This is what great hospitality schools from anywhere would ask their students to do, and she has done so superbly:) For our table, the fine young Wahso was impeccably helping us, also our driver to best enjoy our extended super nice lunch experience.

The set menus du jour we ordered was indeed great matching and pairing. I ordered also the duckbreast- just to check if Seeds is really worthy of all the praise, indeed it certainly is.

Set aside everything political, these great myanmese professionals are struggling, I feel my heart was warmed up a bit to see their smiles and spirits with my visit this trip. I just wish everything turns out for the better and I will definitely...

A Sensory Journey at SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge

From the moment we approached SEEDS, its picturesque driveway set the tone for an exquisite dining experience. The tasteful decor, stunning views of Inya Lake, and local architecture immediately caught our attention.

Our culinary adventure began with a delectable scallop dish and lobster bisque soup. Both lived up to every expectation. The shared sea bass was truly memorable, followed by a decadent opera cake paired with vanilla ice cream. The house wine, a French Sauvignon Blanc, impressed with its quality, considering its affordability. The espresso provided the perfect conclusion to our meal.

A special mention goes to Kyaw, our main server. His service was impeccable, and his commendable command over English greatly enhanced our experience. SEEDS, in essence, offers a Michelin-star worthy experience at a justified price.
