Hotpot on a rainy night always hits the spot, and this Chinese hotpot restaurant delivers a satisfying experience. The à la carte menu offers a wide range of ingredients, and the atmosphere feels traditional and welcoming. Guests can choose up to three types of soup bases. I tried the mala and collagen broths. The collagen broth had a rich, slightly sweet flavor, while the mala was spicy and aromatic and numbingly flavorful. It did not smell beefy. The menu includes a wide selection of meats and vegetables. We ordered snowflake beef, coriander beef roll, bean curd beef roll, pork with lotus root, beef tendons, tripe, pork belly, pork brain, duck blood, and more. Most items were fresh and served in generous portions. Personally, I found the bean curd beef roll and pork with lotus root didn’t absorb the flavors as well, but that may come down to individual taste. The mango bingsu for dessert was a highlight—refreshing and well-prepared. A self-serve sauce station is available, and staff are happy to help with suggestions or mixing. Complimentary items included plum juice, fresh fruit, and a sweet tofu dessert. The dining area was comfortable and well-ventilated. Pricing varies by group size, and there are discounts available for those subscribing prepaid cards. Overall, it was an enjoyable hotpot meal with a broad ingredient selection and friendly service.
