We visited the restaurant on the occasion of our anniversary. The table by the fireplace had a 'reserved' sign and we were eventually offered a seat outside next to the heater. It was nice and warm there. We ordered 2 small pizzas to start, and after about 30 minutes 1 of the two pizzas arrived. 30 minutes alone was already quite a long time for a pizza order. The waitress regretted the misunderstanding about the one pizza and promised to bring the 2nd pizza quickly. It arrived just as we had finished the first pizza. We had ordered the 500g T-bone steak as our main course, one with vegetables as normal and one with salad without any salt due to allergies. When we were served, it turned out that the steak had been salted and this resulted in coughing violently after the first bite. However, they tried very hard and wanted to prepare a new steak. In the meantime, one of us had to dine alone, which wasn't particularly nice. During the meal, it got increasingly cooler, apparently the gas in the heater was running out. We were offered the originally reserved table next to the fireplace (which apparently wasn't reserved at all) and in the middle of the meal we moved, which was another disturbing circumstance. When the first plate was finished, the second steak arrived about 20 minutes later and so everyone had to eat his meal alone. Despite all their efforts, there were plenty of deficits in the service.
Now to the quality of the food: the toppings on the pizza were okay, but unfortunately the pizza base had nothing to do with a real pizza. In our experience, the steaks were not 500g, as stated on the menu. We have eaten many such steaks in our lives and these were by far the smallest. The meat was also extremely tough and barely edible. The vegetables (courgette, carrots, onions) was almost raw and virtually unseasoned, i.e. very bland, while the pumpkin was extremely over-seasoned with cinnamon sugar and far too sweet. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant due to the number of mishaps. Our...
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I pre-ordered a pizza at 17:30 on their app for delivery at 18:30 as their delivery service only begins at 18:15. The delivery of my pizza was scheduled for 18:30 but the order was placed at 17:30. Come 18:45 I called to enquire about it and the lady told me that the pizza just left. Which was not true! At 19:30 I called again and I was told the same story, the pizza has just been made just left with the driver. 20:00 and no information on what’s going on and where my food was. For pizza that was ordered 2.5 hours earlier with AMPLE notice. At 20:00 I refused to continue waiting for the pizza as there was no indication whatsoever that I would receive it shortly. YOUR SERVICE DELIVERY IS A DISGRACE! I had heard good things about your food but at this rate I will never know because I will not waste my time and money here again. Who knows 2.5 hours later the quality of the food I would receive. It is absolutely unacceptable and you should not offer a service that you are unable to provide. Scrap the delivery...
Read moreI've only had one experience with Arebbusch Pizzeria, but it was enough that I likely won't be ordering again. I ordered 3 pizzas for delivery. I found out only after calling that our pizzas were sitting for an hour before the delivery driver even arrived to pick them up. I was offered no discount as a result of the delay and cold pizza. When I complained here in an online review, a manager offered to refund my money and provide new pizzas on a different date. I agreed to give them a second chance. However, the service wasn't better the second time around -- I had to call the restaurant to remind them of my order, and the pizzas were delivered over an hour late, AGAIN. Clearly the management needs to clear up issues with the communication between staff and the delivery service. If you offer a service, you should do it well. Otherwise, don't offer the service. The pizza may be decent, but the delivery experience ruined it for me -- which was the only reason I ordered in the...
