Riverview Bar & Restaurant (Klein Windhoek Guesthouse) — Restaurant in Khomas

I asked the waitress tonight where the non smoking area is and she told me that it is the area right outside the bar where we were sitting, whilst she knew that it is not true. My nose were burning from all the second hand smoke. I was highly upset when I went to the bathroom and realized that she lied to me. I confronted her about it. She apologized, but insisted that it is the area outside the bar, but when she saw that I am not fooled..she apologized again. She is forgiven and tipped, but I just have to get this off my heart.

I struggled to get that horrible burning of the second hand cigarette smoke out of my nose.

The food was delicious but to sit and eat it in the wrong area..spoiled everything. Worse part is that there were only 2 people sitting in the non smoking, air conditioned area whilst the smoke area were packed with non smokers and smokers.

So if you are a non smoker...go and sit inside by the bar area. It will the best area to sit and enjoy your delicious food . I am just very sad that I did not had the opportunity to do so myself because of the wrong information.

Janvier the waiter, best thing that ever happened to that place, he really tried to make us feel at ease, we had to wait over 2hours to get our food, honestly not sure why me and my partner were so patient, most people actually canceled their food order, and was leaving, it's really disappointing management should step up to do something, because once bitten twice shy, not worthy coming back besides their delicious pizza people come in to get their take away pizza while there were seated guest. We went to enjoy a good pizza and some cool drinks. Our second drinks - a draught beer and a cider - made sure that we can not recommend this place and warn every future customer: On the beer crown rested very distugistingly a spit yellow. The "fresh" glass in which we were about to pour the cider was visibly dirty. We brought the incidents to the waiters' attention, who promised to raise the matter with the manager, and in the meantime, the replacement drinks were subsequently taken up by the house. But the...
