Muhan Pokhari Khaja Ghar — Restaurant in Budhanilkantha Municipality

The last time we visited this place, the ambiance was great but the road taking us there was in pathetic condition. Almost after 5 months we visited this place again and were really skeptical about our decision. But to our surprise the road was perfectly black pitched.

Location: You have to take an upward road to the Shivapuri hills from Budhanilkantha Mandir. Follow the road to the famous Bipasana center. Park your vehicle right out side the Bipasana center and to your left you will see a little restaurant hidden in the luscious greenery, which is a part of Shivapuri National Park.

Ambiance: This little hidden treasure has an absolutely beautiful scenic view of Muhaan Pokhari, which was dried out in the winter. Nevertheless, the place still has a serene atmosphere.

Food: This place has the best aalu sadheko in town. Even all the other snacks that we ordered were scrumptious. And really light on your pocket too!

Definitely a great place to chill in Kathmandu! Highly...

I've visited this place twice and its pretty cozy and has "jharana" nearby also next to Bipasana Dhyan Kendra and Army Camp. This place has ample bike parking and few car parking up ahead. There's no way you can park your bike upto the restaurant as it has bar to prevent uphill parking as from the restaurant you can also do hiking up hill. Loved the good food and lovely dishes......yummy awsome finger licking good.... Lovely spot ..great food ...good people...servive was nice...very authentic..... .....well managed..very ambience people... Foods were awsome in very unique style.. Lovely dressings...appetizer ...was best Foods like ...Buff gravy ..buff khaja set...and Thukpa was so good.. All in all great spot to hang out with friends and family...so my reviews goes to five star...
