Ill-treatment of the owner. Never going to eat here.
After today’s experience with the owner of this café I have started believing in the quote “Life surprises you when you least expect it.” In Nepali, it goes something like, “बच्नु मात्रै पर्छ के-के देख्नु पर्छ ।“
Since last year, I’ve been frequenting this place on every occasion I get. Today, as usual, I and my brothers went for some coffee on a short lunch break. The owner ‘Dai’ humbly greeted us “Ke cha bhai!”. We sat down and start sipping our coffee. Then my brother asked for some sugar and that’s when ‘Dai’ started to mumble and blatantly scold us, “तिमीहरुलाई अगिनै सोधेको होइन चिनी चाहिन्छ कि चहिन्दैन भनेर? (I had asked you if you needed sugar but you all said no. Why do you need now?)….and he said something like….यो मेरो कपको रु १० लाग्छ।” (It costs me Rs. 10 for the takeaway cups)
We couldn’t believe what we had just seen and heard from that guy. He brought some sugar and we told him that that was not the way to treat customers and we were not coming here again. He started yelling again and dismissed us like trash saying, “म मान्छे यस्तै हो!” (This is who I am and I’ve always been like this.) and a lot of angry statements which I could not catch up with. It was my turn to pay so I went to the counter, paid and wished him good luck with his business.
Dear owner-dai, I’m sorry if you were unwell today or in a bad mood but with that sort of ugly attitude, sooner or later, “YOU WILL WALK A LONELY PATH!”
On the flipside, the other guy (if you get lucky to see him) is nice with customers. The food is honestly ‘good’ but serving it with a low-grade attitude makes any food taste awful. Don’t lose it!

Read moreMy friends took me to this place as this is one of the best cafe’s in Kathmandu. Place is decent and nice to hang out with friends.
Here they serve Cold and beverages along with sandwich and burgers. Morning time is an idle time to visit as there will be less crowd.
We ordered Cheese sandwich, Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Burger. All these were served with French fries. Good thing about this cafe is, they prepare all the stuffing ingredients once we place the order, so when you eat the food you feel it’s so fresh.
One thing what I noticed is French fries i.e. it was quite hard and too crispy. When it’s frozen for long time and kept out before deep frying it will turn to be too crispy and hard. French fries alone didn’t taste that great. Probably they need to look into this because, frozen food are not recommended for good health.
We also ordered Cream Caramel Mocha. It was refreshing and mild though it was mocha. Mocha sometimes will be strong in taste, but here it was equal proportion of cream, caramel and coco.
Good place to sit and relax with friends & and to make your taste...
