Recommended by a local friend who is also a talented coffee-roaster from Maya Singing Bowl & Cafe, I recently joined a series of workshops at Nako Coffee School, including coffee cupping, pour-over/filter brewing, and syphon coffee. I can confidently say it was one of the most inspiring learning experiences I’ve had.
My teacher, Sunen, is not only deeply knowledgeable and skilled, but also incredibly passionate and generous in sharing what he knows. His teaching style is clear, hands-on, and flexible, making the learning process both engaging and enjoyable for beginners and coffee lovers alike.
I’ve met many passionate baristas before, but none quite like Sunen. After my very first session, I walked out with a full heart and happy feet, smiling as I strolled through the streets of Pokhara. It had been years since I felt that kind of lightness and joy.
Sometimes, you meet people who are doing exactly what they’re meant to do, radiating their passion and inspiring others like ripples on water. Sunen is one of those rare individuals. I’m truly grateful our paths crossed.
