Fa's Tearoom & Cakeboutique — Restaurant in Almere

What a gem this place is! We looked for a place to have lunch/brunch on the way to Schiphol and spontaneously decided on this tea room. We could not have been happier with our choice! The interior is lovely, very influencer-friendly with lots of pink and flowers. The staff was super friendly too. When we sat down we were told that it might take a bit longer as it was quite busy, and this was true, but then it really was well worth the wait. I’m really hoping to come back here sometime, the high tea happening at some other table looked amazing as well. Great job on creating such a wholesome vibe, with amazing food to boot. It is clear that a lot of effort goes into presentation and I’m here for it. Hopefully...

What a gem! From the moment we stepped in we were welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. The interior looks like an Instagram ad, and we were immediately drawn to the large glass displays full of delicious cakes, cupcakes and macarons.

We tried the Red Velvet Cake and Chocolate Snicker Cake which both were to die for. The cakes are made of high quality ingredients, which you can definitely taste.

We also tried the Moroccan Spiced Latte which was yummy. Love that they also have all the non-dairy milks for the vegans or lactose-intolerant.

The menu is much more extensive than just sweets, and you can enjoy a full lunch here as well. We’ll definitely come back for...

Onlangs heb ik een high tea arrangement geboekt voor 50 euro per persoon, maar helaas was de ervaring allesbehalve positief. Ten eerste was de mojito die geserveerd werd, niet te drinken. Het had een rare smaak en was absoluut niet verfrissend, zoals je zou verwachten van een drankje in zo’n setting.

De mini broodjes waren koud en smaakten helemaal niet goed. Dit was echt teleurstellend, zeker voor de prijs die we betaalden. Het leek wel alsof ze al langere tijd klaar waren en niet met zorg waren bereid.

Daarnaast was er een persoon in onze groep met een glutenallergie, en hoewel zij een uitzondering met toestemming kreeg om uit de menukaart te bestellen, werd haar een simpel verzoek geweigerd. Ze vroeg of ze een theeglas mocht krijgen om zelf thee in te schenken, maar dit werd geweigerd met het argument dat ze de 50 euro niet had betaald, terwijl de rest van de groep dat wel had gedaan. Dit is voor mij absoluut niet te begrijpen. Alles lag al op tafel, en je zou verwachten dat iemand die al een aparte bestelling had moeten plaatsen, alsnog in staat zou zijn om iets te pakken dat wel glutenvrij is. Het voelde niet alleen onbeleefd, maar ook schaamte voor de persoon in kwestie.

Bovendien werd er tegen de rest van de groep gezegd dat ze wel alles konden pakken, inclusief glazen voor de thee. Dit creëerde een oncomfortabele sfeer en zorgde ervoor dat de klantgerichtheid en service totaal niet in balans waren met de hoge kosten.

Het is voor mij duidelijk dat de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding niet klopt. De service liet te wensen over en het eten was ondermaats. Dit was absoluut de eerste en laatste keer dat ik hier een high tea zal doen. Het was gewoon geen goede ervaring, en ik kan het helaas...
