I recently had the pleasure of dining at Holi Indian Restaurant and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. As a vegetarian, I often look for places that offer a variety of flavorful options, and this restaurant exceeded my expectations.
I started with the Paneer Tikka, which was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. The paneer was soft, and the spices were just right, providing a wonderful burst of flavor with every bite.
For the main course, I had the Kadhai Paneer. This dish was an absolute highlight! The paneer was cooked beautifully, and the rich, tangy tomato-based gravy with its blend of spices made it an unforgettable dish. It paired wonderfully with the fresh naan and rice that were served alongside.
To accompany my meal, I ordered a Lassi. It was creamy, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess, which complemented the spices of the food very well.
For dessert, I indulged in Rasmalai, which was a fantastic end to my meal. The rasmalai was soft, soaked in a deliciously sweet and creamy milk syrup that was fragrant with cardamom. It was light, yet decadent, leaving me completely satisfied.
Moreover, the staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of throughout my meal, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
Overall, my visit to Holi Indian restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The food was delicious, the ambiance inviting, and the service impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Indian dining experience, especially vegetarians seeking a variety of...
Read moreThe staff is friendly and the food is alright, but the service was incredibly slow. Several times our sauces or drinks ran out, but no staff was around to ask. One time we even had to go up to the bar to ask for service. It gets tiring to having to flag down waiters at least 4 times during one dinner because they’re not paying attention to your drinks or whether your meal is complete (it wasn’t).
We spent over 2,5 hours in the restaurant because it took ages between the courses. After starters it took an hour for our mains to arrive. Then it took ages for someone to clear the table, then again half an hour for desserts to come. In the end the bill was over €100 for starters, mains and dessert for 2 people. Relatively expensive for what it was. We asked to take away our food, but found out they left out a full bowl of rice :(
I’m especially disappointed that we came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I specially asked if they could do something nice for them during reservation, but nothing was done or even acknowledged during our dinner. All in all we won’t be coming back. We also thought the place would have much more ambiance according to the photos, but we believe the pictures on the listing taken in their...
Read moreI would like to respectfully clarify my review. I did visit your restaurant on 15th August between 8–9 pm with my partner. We did not have a reservation, so we were initially offered a table outside, which we were happy to take in order to enjoy the live music. However, around 10 mins later, we were asked to move inside, which we found a little off-putting.
Regarding the service, while our server was courteous and professional, the overall service was noticeably slow — not just for our table but for others as well.
As for the food, my feedback remains consistent with what I originally wrote. Some items were decent, such as the boti kebab, rogan josh, butter naan, and the tap beer. However, other dishes — the aloo tiki chaat, salty lassi, and chilli chicken — did not meet expectations. Overall, nothing stood out as exceptional.
My ratings of 2 stars for food and service, and 3 stars for atmosphere reflect my genuine experience that evening. I stand by my review as an honest account...
