Khop Khun Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Alphen aan den Rijn

Simply delicious meal at Khop Khun Thai Cuisine. Upon sitting, we were served a bowl of crackers with dipping sauce (which is really yummy).

We ordered tom yum soup, massaman curry and satay. The tom yum soup was not as spicy as we hoped it would be, the massaman curry is thick which is what I really like and reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. It is hard to find such curry and I was absolutely delighted to find it here. The chicken satay is delicious as well.

Omdat de andere Thai in Alphen op vakantie was dacht ik hier eens te proberen. Sorry, maar ik denk dat de andere recensenten nog nooit bij een goede Thai zijn geweest. Als de koks echt Thais zijn kan ik me niet voorstellen dat zij dit zelf lekker vinden. Dit is nu de tweede keer, ik dacht ik probeer het weer eens na een jaartje. Beginnen met de saté: het ziet er wel smakelijk uit, maar wat een flauwe smaak. Het is geen gemarineerde saté, maar een wit stuk kip gedoopt in flauwe echt smakeloze saté saus. De pad Thai had geen diepgang qua smaak en was mat, de kip had zo een taaie en “kip achtige” smaak die je normaal ook krijgt met opgewarmd eten. De zoetzure kip had verse groenten, maar ook hier de kip nasmaak en wederom geen lekkere smaak maar enkel flauw.
