The Swan Inn — Restaurant in Ameland

We were served by an woman that appears to be in charge, maybe the manager. She served us very well. Smiling, kind and not judgemental. We are a couple that can attract some attention and many times the simpletons that are everywhere have their eyes of judgement ready, what really means envy so I always smile when I see it. Imagine the dull and boring lives of those kind of people. But this service didn't had that, she gave us the feeling of being very welcome. Refreshing. Usually behavior like that gets rewarded with tip, however the food prices were already to steep to tip and the taste and quality is average. Ambiance is good, large place, plenty choice for seating. If you have the time, worth while to have a short visit. Parking is a short walk...

The service was unreasonably slow.

We waited an hour for our food and the only dish that arrived was our soup appetizer, which was served more than 30 minutes after we ordered.
