During my recent dining experience at Pakwaan Indian Food in Amsterdam, I had the pleasure of savoring some delectable Indian cuisine. While the food impressed me with its rich flavors and authenticity, the service provided by the staff left much to be desired. Here's a comprehensive review of my visit:

Let's begin with the highlight of the restaurant: the food. Pakwaan serves a diverse range of Indian dishes that truly capture the essence of the cuisine. From aromatic biryanis to flavorful curries and delectable tandoori preparations, the menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. The quality of ingredients was commendable, and the flavors were bold and authentic, making for a memorable culinary experience.

However, the service provided by the staff was average at best. While they were generally polite, there was a lack of attentiveness and promptness. It took a while to get the attention of a waiter upon arrival, and even then, the service felt rushed and lacking in personal touch. Requests for additional condiments or water refills were often forgotten or took longer than expected to fulfill. There was room for improvement in terms of attentiveness and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

The ambiance of Pakwaan Indian Food was pleasant but fell short of being exceptional. The decor was simple and lacked a distinctive Indian flair that would have enhanced the overall dining atmosphere. The seating arrangements were comfortable but slightly cramped, particularly during peak hours. While the noise level was generally manageable, it could get a bit loud during busy periods, affecting the overall dining experience.

When it comes to pricing, Pakwaan Indian Food seemed reasonably priced considering the quality and flavors of the dishes. The portions were generous, offering good value for money. However, given the average service and ambiance, some patrons might expect a slightly more competitive pricing structure.

In conclusion, Pakwaan Indian Food in Amsterdam offers a satisfying culinary journey with its flavorful and authentic Indian cuisine. While the food is undoubtedly the highlight, the service and ambiance could use some improvement to elevate the overall dining experience. With more attentive and personalized service, along with a touch of Indian ambiance, Pakwaan has the potential to become a truly exceptional Indian dining destination in...

Went back today. This time tried Paneer Chilly, Pav Bhaji. Both were fantastic. Paneer Chilly was nice, Paneer was nice and soft and dish was quite saucy. Pav Bhaji was bit different than the Mumbai style, it was very buttery (that makes it more tasty). Then ended with Daal Makhani and Aloo Paratha. Their taste seemed the same. The ambiance was more lit than last time, thanks for considering the feedback. -—— 06/09/22——- Went for Dinner on a quite and lazy Tuesday Evening. We had ordered Vada Pav, Paneer Tikka Roll, Dal Makhani, Aloo Paratha and later Falooda. While waiting for the food we were served with Papad and 3 Chutneys - Tamarind, Mango and Green-Mayo. Liked the Mango one better, other 2 were ok. Vada Pav was good in taste, the green chutney was quite good, would have been better if the dry red chutney was also used. Vada's crust was bit too crunchy. Paneer Tikka Roll was nice. Dal Makhani was the tastiest of all and Aloo Paratha also good. Falooda was too sweet and the ice cream was quite frozen and felt more like ice. Overall we had a good experience, Bharat was very kind. Their Menu is also pocket friendly. This cozy restaurant is newly opened and was really interesting to see how they managed to maximize the seating in such a compact area, kudos to that. Also the interiors/cutlery/crockery were cool. Although little more lighting would be better. Would definitely comeback and would like to try and check how the Dal Makhani tastes when the restaurant is fully packed😉 —-04-04-2023——— After like visiting 20-30 times, this has been my go to place for Indian Food Never disappointed… Food & Service always amazing… Moving the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pakwaan, an Indian restaurant that truly elevates traditional Indian cuisine with its unique and delightful twists. The moment I stepped into this cozy interior, I was greeted by a charming waitress whose helpfulness and enthusiasm enhanced our dining experience from start to finish.

The menu at Pakwaan is a treasure trove of flavors, and each dish we ordered seemed to outdo the last. The okra was a revelation—perfectly cooked to a super moist texture, unlike any I've had before. The paneer was equally impressive, possibly the softest I've ever tasted, melting effortlessly with each bite. A new discovery for me was the soft shells served with a sweet sauce; this dish was a fantastic surprise, balancing the flavors beautifully.

Adding to the experience was a complimentary appetizer—a thoughtful array of crisps served with three different sauces. It's these thoughtful gestures that really make a meal memorable. The mango lassi was another standout, creamy and refreshing, a perfect foil to the rich flavors of the dishes.

Despite its modest size, Pakwaan makes a significant impact with its bold flavors and the warmth of its service. The restaurant’s ambiance, combined with the excellent food and service, ensures that I will be returning soon. For anyone looking for a stellar Indian meal that feels both familiar and excitingly new, Pakwaan is undoubtedly...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience that delighted my taste buds! The Dal Makhani was an absolute standout - rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful; it was simply delicious, leaving me craving for more. Pairing it with their Garlic Naan was a stroke of genius - the naan was amazing, perfectly cooked and served as the ideal companion to the Dal Makhani, enhancing every spoonful of its delectable taste. The Soya Masala Chaap was another highlight of the meal. It brought a burst of flavors that was simply outstanding. The spice level was just right, adding an extra kick to this already fantastic dish. The overall dining experience was exceptional, and these particular dishes stood out for their quality, taste, and the perfect balance of flavors. I highly recommend trying these specialties when you visit this Indian restaurant.
