Café Vrijdag Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I decided to give this place a second chance after an horrible first time (some six months before) due to long waiting and poorly cooked food. My bad. We got in and sat, a waiter came rather quickly asking if she could help. I said that we'd like to eat and she responded "no, what would you like to drink". Ok, fair enough but not exactly a good start considering the precedents. After she got us our drinks she disappeared leaving us without chance to order the food. After about 20 minutes one of us departs in search of a waiter and orders for the 3 of us on the fly: three burgers with fries, one very well done. Despite the fact that it took them about 30 more minutes to bring us the food (place not even half full) my colleague's burger was raw (as in: pink) just like our own. Honestly we didn’t expect a lot. Just having a nice meal and enjoying a bit the city. Unfortunately this restaurant is one of the worst restaurant I ever have been. The service is completely untrained and have no experience with a full house. Several times the waiter were asking, if really want this dish or drink because they forgot. The food was also not astonishing. The starter was okay but not very fresh. We ordered a coup de boef and the quality of the meat was terrible and the cook didn’t understand the difference between rare or medium. One of the many cafés in Amsterdam. We had some beer, aperol spritz and wine so all kinds of drinks and of course some snacks. All was pretty common. But we had to wait long, different waitresses (poor and only English) and the order wasn’t right. So a shortage of staff maybe. The place is ok and near the Amstel river.
