We visited this restaurant as a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. From the beginning, we clearly told the staff that we wanted to order food for the kids first, and placed orders for buns and some sides. However, while three of our own dishes arrived relatively quickly (buns), the kids were left waiting for almost an hour, despite us asking multiple times. Each time, we were told the food was “coming,” but it took another 10–15 minutes after each check-in.
The explanation we were given was even more frustrating: they said the items we ordered for the kids were sides, and they usually serve buns and tacos first, followed by mains with sides. So apparently, the kids had to wait an hour because they were following a sequence, one that makes no sense when customers explicitly request something else. And they explained this without the slightest sense of embarrassment.
Even our sides arrived after an hour, before the mains. Then, once we had finished the sides, the mains were served, totally disconnected timing. On top of this, the food itself was extremely greasy, and the meat didn’t smell good, which made it hard to eat. None of us could finish our main dishes.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, both the service and the food. I definitely wouldn’t...

Tucked away slightly off the beaten path, this stylish and chic Surinamese restaurant is a true find. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Everything was explained to us right at the beginning, and our drink preferences were taken with care. The starters arrived promptly and looked absolutely heavenly — beautifully presented and bursting with color and aroma. Honestly, we all agreed: the starters outshone the main courses. Next time, we’ll likely just order a full spread of appetizers — they were that good! The drinks were uniformly delicious and well-crafted, adding an extra touch of joy to the evening. Every detail, from the plating to the interior design, felt thoughtfully curated. A special shoutout goes to the warm and attentive service — always present, helpful, and genuinely kind. It truly elevated the entire experience and made us feel incredibly welcome and relaxed. This place is a real treat, and we’ll...

Host said place was packed but after multiple requests we could sit at the bar.
I went to the toilet place was not packed and the second floor wasn’t used.
We asked recommended drinks and got a papa aswa special ad a papalito. The cocktails where good.
After 30 min we where suddenly offered a table. Surprising because they where packed. The food we ordered , casave fries, gado gado and chicken drumsticks where super good and very tasty.
Waitresses are friendly and somewhat “upselling” but friendly. In the end we found out the recommended cocktail we got served was 19 euro, which in my opinion is unfair
Tip for restaurant to improve:
Don’t say your packed but be honest and say you do not have capacity to handle current occupancy
Optimise managemt to improve efficiency
Downtune upselling
If you recommend a cocktail which is unfair priced you should mention this at recommendation
Customers will notice your a money machine be...
