As everyone knows who is socially aware, the public libraries are Amsterdam's main "daklozenopvang". People who aren't housed and aren't financially supported have nowhere else to go, really, so be kind to them when they fall asleep at the library because they haven't slept all night, again, dear fellow visitors. 🙏🏻 The city of Amsterdam does very little for its poor, regardless of whether they are Dutch citizens or not.
