Royal Fook Long Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We used to be regular customers - until today. I didnt order any drink (I dont use to drink while I am eating) and when we were paying, the cashier told us that we are 2 and therefore we need to order at least 2 drinks. Apparently that is the house rule... Well, we didn’t know this and I thought that she was telling us this so that we know for the next time... but no! she seriously insisted that we shall pay a second drink and said that we can take it home if we want. After asking her to give us the house rules to read them, she finally billed us (only one drink). My boyfriend thanked her and wished her a nice evening - she didnt even reply to that. @cashier: maybe you want to rethink how you treat your (regular) customers and learn something about hospitality - We used to go every 2 weeks and we are certainly not...

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with the owner or manager here before it turned into a sushi place.

I took four Chinese girls who were traveling in Amsterdam here. The owner/manager seemed pretty happy about it and spoke to them with a smile.

After we ordered, he served us rice from a big bowl. He placed two big scoops of rice on each girl's plate and then formed it into a nice circle. When it was my turn, he just plopped one scoop of rice on my plate and didn't bother with the presentation.

During the meal he came to talk to the girls for a few minutes, which was completely fine, but I felt like he was ignoring me.

When I asked for the bill, he immediately turned to the girls and addressed them instead of me.

Never made eye contact...

Vey nice environment, quick and efficient service, the food was amazing, we have a celebration night out with wife and two kids so we decided to go for the "all you can eat" choice... the boys loved it, there was nothing on the table that we did not like... only one minor detail; this place use the modern fashion way to order with an iPad, we needed to re-order drinks few times and we could not do that with the waitresses, only ipad; if the place is busy this can take some time... overall everything was really tasty, nice...
