Bella Totti — Restaurant in Barneveld

While reading the other reviews i realized these are locals writing the reviews and they don't seem experienced or knowledgable enough about italian cuisine.

Nothing negative to say about the waiters, if any the second star is for her since she was willing to take my unusual orders and make the extra mile.

Not that I am the big italian expert, but I know enough to say that this isn't italian :(

The dough is bread dough, they put Albert Heijn SLICES of Gouda cheese?!?!?!?!!!

Not grated, but slices....Like really?! And the sauce was sweet so that was too bad as well. They put white onions on pizza, that is so not done! Cipolla means shalot not white onions.

The penne pasta is the supermarket pasta. The coffee is not a barista machine coffee either.

So it was overall...

Bella Totti, or should I say Bella Turki, is a confusing blend of Italian facade and Turkish reality. Despite its claim to Italian authenticity, the predominance of Turkish staff and menu offerings tells a different story. The disappointment extends beyond false advertising, with driest pizza ever and miserly servings of overpriced wine dampening the dining experience. While the kebabs shine amidst this culinary identity crisis, patrons seeking genuine Italian fare should look elsewhere. Ultimately, Bella Totti seems more adept at serving up Turkish delights than honoring its Italian pretenses.

Some operational remarks:

1. The serveerster did not know what was in the kebab or in sashlik or what Limoncello spritz
2. we waited around 30-40 minutes...

Beste pizza die ik in tijden heb gegeten. Veel beter dan een fastfood keten als domino’s of van die gekke turkjes. Zal hier voortaan mijn pizzas halen, want duur zijn ze zeker niet. Wel vragen ze een klein bedrag voor bezorging, maar ik ga er met plezier even langs….

Het is zo piepklein en schattig daar binnen met lief personeel aan de voorkant en een duidelijk merkbare ervaren koks aan de achterkant. Wat pizzas in elk geval, een ander gerecht heb ik nog niet geprobeerd, maar als dat in de buurt komt van de pizza, kan je er vanuit gaan dat je echt lekker eet.

Ik had bijvoorbeeld de pizza calzone… super mooi gebakken, dun deeg wat lekker krokant was met overduidelijk hele verse groenten. En het deeg was ook nog eens volledig gegaard aan de binnenkant, wat nog vaak mis kan gaan, daarom zou domino’s bijvoorbeeld nooit een calzone op hun menu zetten.Als ik van te voren had geweten dat het zo lekker zou zijn, had ik er even een foto van gemaakt, maar toen ik eenmaal begonnen was met eten… kon ik niet meer stoppen.

Ze schijnen ook leuk catering te kunnen bezorgen voor als je thuis super lekkere betaalbare gerechten kunt serveren aan...
