Annapurna Restaurant — Restaurant in Castricum

"Meh", that's how to summarise my experience there. The food CAN be better, but, on the other side: we're in Castricum! Difficult to sell truly original indian flavor in the middle of North Holland...not enough spicy, not enough flavorful, the chicken a bit dry, the sizzling contributing to it. The butterchicken was WAY too sweet, and not marinated enough or not with the right spices and herbs, the curry very bland. Naan and pappadum were okay but the chutney was too bland! Once again, if you'd like to get back some memories of the colourful Indian eating you had somewhere good this is not your place, it's for locals, "meat&potatoes" eater (mostly).

The plus signs: GREAT cocktails! My Margarita, though a frozen one, was excellent! Now I am not a fan, usually, of frozen Margarita but they are an advantage when you have to bike back home and it's a long way: you cannot drink too many of them, it takes too much time!

And the service is truly warm and friendly, which is nice. But I prefer the television off, especially when there's football, champions cup or not....

Food is okay but when you come with a baby there is no diaper changing commode anywhere. So we did it on the sofa where we sat but other guests felt uncomfortable. I tried to give a suggestion but they said they can’t put up a commode or that’s what I understood from the lady. So when you’re coming keep this in mind that your baby might not have a diaper change commode.

Update: 10 March 2024 Last time they allowed to change baby diaper on sofa but this time they said they won’t allow it. I was surprised. We had to drive back 1 hour with a baby with full diaper. Cause it was also late after dinner that we left the restaurant.

I would never go or suggest my family to visit this place ever. Sorry but people tend to not consider that customers can bring babies and not even provide alternatives for baby...

slecht 21,75 aan eten en drinken besteld mango lassie was klein rotflesje net 2 flesjes yakult op elkaar geen rijst meegelverd met een geregd van 12,50 met kip uien en meer ronduit slecht bezorging was prima maar klantvriendelijkheid en portie groote een dikke nul en als ik opbelde om te vragen waarom er geen rijst bij zit waren ze ook niet vriendelijk ook hier niet bestellen ! je bent gewaarschuwd. nu zelf maar rijst maken

oh en ter reactie op jullie na post notoire klachten schrijver nog wel mooi hoor mensen zwartmaken klagen doe ik bijna nooit en ik eiste niet ik vroeg eerst of er normaal geen rijst bij zat en of dat bijgeleverd kon worden en eventueel hoeveel dat zou kosten toen kreeg ik een boze toon terug van jullie en op dat moment hebben wij besloten om neit meer met jullie in zee te gaan we hebben uitendelijk rijst zelf bij moeten maken want de porties was zo klein dat het belachelijk is 33 cl is ook niet veel en dat is inderdaad een mening betaal 3.70 voor een mango lassie en dan krijg je een bekertje van 33cl daar kan ik ruim 3 tot 4 liter cola van halen dit is überhaupt de eerste keer dat ik bij jullie heb besteld dus dat noitre klachtenschrijver dat is helemaal niet waar verder word ook nergens beschreven om hoeveel ml we praten tijdens het bestellen dat is te zien in de foto die ik heb bijgeplaats en fles mango lassie kan je het niet noemen je kan er net aan een klein glas mee vullen en ja ik psot cker op social media als er niet normaal een gesprek kan worden gevoerd door de telefoon en ik bestel redelijk wat af ben een trouwe klant van smitje new york pizza wooki het smitje shalom europe eethuis bella vita en aroi sushi en hart van india daar kunnen jullie best van leren kleisnte portie allertijden en mischien als jullie normaal kunnen communceren aan de telefoon hoeven mensen niet te posten of...
